Yea thats how it's done... I personally like to find a buyer then i run it and Let them know when i have it and they come get it and trade what they said they would trade for it prior to me getting it....
Which brings me back to me original question...
What would u pay for 1..?
A caster doesn't deserve an eardweller if they don't get it for themself.
A while back someone on Sarlona was doing it for 500k plat OR a large scale. I should have gone for it, but I was having video card problems at the time so I couldn't reliably be on when they were farming.
And you're really getting into the grey area of ToS. By the rules, you have to earn the loot. Advertising what you're doing can invite problems.

IIRC, they also shortened the timer on how long the Eardweller lasts after dropping to curb this behavior. I have seen one disappear in the amount of time it took the Paladin to toon over to his caster. He logged out as soon as he won the roll, and it was gone by the time he logged in on his wizzy. So, try to at least be in the party with each other on the toons that matter if you're gonna help someone farm it out.
They paid for it so........ I really dont see any problem..
If I'm understanding u correctly, They need to run the quest in order for them to have 1, When instead they could just pay someone to run it for them..? Besides There is no Official rule stating u cant do that.... Is there..?
Only because it's bound to character. Sure, a regular item can be bought and sold without restriction, but when it's bound, the intent is that it's earned within the quest, or in this case a bonus rare item only found within a quest. I'm not saying that there aren't people doing what you propose, I'm only saying that it MAY be looked on as a ToS or CoC issue.

This. All bound gear does is screw with economy. I can understand why final crafted items get bound, but drops that drop from chest/to ground? Uhhhhh...
Also, in a supply/demand market, the effort someone went through to buy something is larger than if they tried to get them themselves, so "not earned" point is moot. It takes a lot more grinding to get enough plat from lower level quests than it does getting the eardweller. And grinding is :effort:
Edit: Also, what about pikers? Should they also get banned because they pike through quests and then loot bound gear at no effort? Yeah, I thought so.
and yet, it doesn't go into the inventory of the person who killed it, or the person who did the most work. it goes into the inventory of whoever picks it up. i could bring someone into the quest, solo the entire quest up to the optional, and then they could get the eardweller without doing any more work than the people who buy it. is it really all that different from someone who pays for one, and then sits just outside the quest instead?
Technically, in your defence you can say you "accidentally" accepted a blind invite, then "accidentally" clicked on the instance entrance, and while you were trying to find the way out, you "accidentally" click on the Eardweller.

it's not quite as morally bad as selling raid loot in a chest, which isn't against TOC
i mean, if it drops and he can't use it AND he's only getting stuff in game for it, it's just like advertising for another item..
I don't see the problem here...
*For the record* I do see a problem with selling raid loot, but we're talking about TOC, not morals
