    Default Fragrant Drowshood Farming

What are some good places to farm Drowshoods? I've been hitting up the three purple mushrooms in Partycrashers and then running over and hitting the first three purple mushrooms in A Small Problem. I'm not sure if all of these mushrooms can give Drowshoods. I know one has been giving me beetles so...

Anyone know of another good place to farm them?

The best place I know to farm them is in the Tangleroot gorge pack. There are 4 or 5 purple mushroom nodes you can hit every time you enter Splinterskull for the quest chain and I know they occasionally yield Fragrants

PS: DDOWiki lists several other locations including Partycrashers.

there are a bunch in the beginning of the party crashers quest in the carnival chain as well. I can think of 3 or 4 you can get before the fight with the giant.

back when i used to farm carnival scrolls, i would run the first part of the illusionarium in partycrashers. the nodes in there *definitely* can yield drowshood, just not all the time. yes, you will get beetles (and other stuff you don't care about) too, but it's not that hard.

personally, i liked to stop at the scorpions.

Tomb of the Shadow Guard has quite a few purple mushrooms if you know where to look in the underwater tunnels.

Go into Partycrashers (House P) farm up to the scorpion recall

Jump into Small problem grab the first 2-3 Shrooms all near the entrance.

    Rinse and repeat.

    Default Tangleroot...definitely Tangleroot :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkBiNQvKi60 is a very nice guide. I didn't make it, I just think it is pretty good.

I ran through there the other night and in a few runs I got 5x Fragrant Drowshoods.

VoN1. You can run through and pick up 2 easy purple mushrooms before you get to the arena. No fighting needed, and a pretty short trip.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.

    Red face

Hands down, Tangleroot is best for me. And after the 4th part there is an extra at the beginning. Even during the 1st part on, after killing 20 guards, just keep going around to the differant caves and get the others PLUS the chests are there too, .

My experience puts Tangleroot at our near the top for Fragrant Drowshood and possibilities for other rares. A full run through the TR chain averages 3-4 Drowshood, 1 Sm or Med Eberron Dragonshard, 1 Silver Flame Hymnal, and about a 30% chance on elite for a Lightning Split Soarwood. Have had best luck with the lightning-split soarwoods on elite though, but don't know if that matters.

Immediate right after entry to fight a couple oozes for 1 chance; after you do the Whisperdoom quest, 2 chances.
Two chances by the second shrine & overlook with the chest
Two caves each with one chance on the left side of the map.

A fairly lucrative, if extremely monotonous farming experience.

The most effective way to farm Tangleroot is to run to part 9 then just repeat that one ad nauseum on casual.

You can hit nine collectables (six mushrooms, adventurers pack, bookshelf and cabinet) in under three minutes, with striders/ER/haste clickies. Finish the mission to enter the next part, turn around and leave through the door to exit back to the gorge. Run back to the entrance and repeat. A full run, from entry to re-entry, should be well under five minutes, without the mobs in the gorge even having time to reset.

Once upon a time, I farmed Tangleroot at level for easy XP and picked up a few mushrooms along the way.

Now I farm Tangleroot at level for easy mushrooms and pick up a few XP along the way.

I was going to post my link but it looks like someone beat me to it

By far once you hit the level 6+ quests in this chain is the best and fastest way to get Fragrant Drowshoods.

My opinion is that while Tangleroot may not have the largest density of Drowshood nodes, it's the best area for collectibles in general because of the high chances at getting Silver Flame Hymnals and Lightning Split Soarwood as well.

I find it best if you get a side benefit for your mushroom farming; such as...
    OOB for Spectral Gloves
Tangleroot for experience at level; or to try to get another Visor of the Flesh Render Guards.
VoN1, Small Problem, or Partycrashers while scroll farming.

Not long ago I got my second lightning-split soarwood -- both from Tangleroot. No idea on what difficulty first one was, but second one was on Hard.
