Chronosphere end chest urban legend?

I've been in 2 groups recently that had people saying to wait until that thing that you watch happen from high up ended to open the last chest because the rewards would be better.

Can anybody debunk? Bunk? (You know, it doesn't seem that bunk is actually the opposite of debunk.)

Anybody got a "Oh that's so last update" explanation for this? I know there have been lots of "circle the chest 3 times for better loot" in the history of DDO, is this another?

If every player spins around in their computer chair THREE TIMES!, the chest gives better loot.

No seriously though. I don't know exactly what it was, but there WAS a bug that could prevent the optional chests from appearing. I think it was if the first chest was opened before said event from high up ended, idk. Either way, this has been fixed.

You can complete the quest, open the first chest, THEN go complete the optionals, and the optional chests STILL appear, and still give the same loot they always do. This is not like I heard this from my best friend's cousin's brother's father's roommate. I have done this in several groups. It's not surprising that this bug got morphed into a loot boost myth, but that's probably the case. The only thing I know of that boosts loot is store gems, loot bonus days, and dragonmarks, and there seems to be some speculation about how much those actually contribute.

You know if you stealth and jump inside the chest the loot is better too adds like 15 level to a level 6 chest so you get epic stuff.

No man, all the different things that people say can't increase loot drops. just a DDO myth.

If you have 7 of your raid group dancing when the first chest is opened you are guaranteed to get raid gear out of all 3.

The player that died the least should always open the chests, because there is a loot penalty for dying. Type "/death count" to see who died the least

waiting until the final explosion in chronoscope does not yield better and more loot. its myth. the one time i actually got got incredible loot(named items) is when i decided to open the chests as soon as i got up onto the platform....i got better loot but it caused one of the raiders to foam at the mouth. i'm not here to indulge in childish superstitions.

deal is it was bugged when first released and then fixed.u can find more info in release notes soon after release date.

It only works if you get the loot buff from the druid circle.

My favorite myth is still the "Let me open the chest because I have a loot gem going." Great except that only works for the person who has it going.
