    Default Massive bugs after update? list em here

    okay, I played last night.
    I was shocked at what I heard and what I saw...


    I heard lots of people (who will also hopefully post here) about different aspects of handwraps, FvS divine stuff, and more not doing the damage it is supposed too.
    There was much more with dps issues and spell like effects going haywire...

    Every group had something saying 'wow, why is this so low...or wow, this is not working at all'

    I personally casted resist energy as a 19th level sorc and gave anywhere from 15 to 45 resist to people...that's right...15 to 45 according to the character sheet. Whether a display bug or not we could not tell.

    I was using the ice spells and noticed that many mobs I killed just 'disappeared' at death...no 'kill skull', no 'ice' shatter, nothing....one second they were there and the next just 'poof' gone...no effects, nothing.

    I did not make a list, hope others list them here. There was just so many things out of the ordinary that did not work or display correctly I was shocked...this was really bad.


    so...please list anything you see that is wrong, maybe a full list can help us all out so we do not waste mana and redo things (like cast fire resist over and over and only give 20).


    Please don't attack turbine or other posters, this is for us to know what is going on. I am sure they are aware of things for the most part, but maybe this thread can help us get a gist of what to look out for.

    • Experiencing client crashing since U9. I've never had issues with the game client hard crashing the way it has been recently.
    • Lag is devastating since U9. Many have reported this - not a rig or ISP issue.
    • Non-crafted handwraps(random generated & named) are not applying enhancement bonuses to attack and damage.

    Items disjuncted before the update cannot have the +6, etc shards of potential crafted onto them; you must re-disjunct them and re-craft from scratch. However, if the enhancement is already +6 or above, then you cannot disjunct them. So: They're stuck where they are.




    Running with both Cold/Fire last night on my Tukaw build. Only one had effect - appeared to be the last one cast.

    Cast Fire then Cold - did cold damage on hit, mitigated incoming cold damage, didn't mitigate incoming fire damage nor did the shield go off when hit.

    Cast Cold then Fire - same as above, only backwards...

    Also Eldar's and Niacs (lvl 5s) seemed to be one or the other going off - not both. Similar to the above - last cast did the damage.

    You going to edit your post, and compile a bulleted list?

    I don't know, see how it goes.
    Maybe it was just me?

    I have noticed some lag where I never see it normally too.

    Running with both Cold/Fire last night on my Tukaw build. Only one had effect - appeared to be the last one cast.

    Cast Fire then Cold - did cold damage on hit, mitigated incoming cold damage, didn't mitigate incoming fire damage nor did the shield go off when hit.

    Cast Cold then Fire - same as above, only backwards...

    Most already know, but

    Making a "max enchant lvl check" on the deconstruction altar, which serves no other function but to "destroy" items is some programming genius, give that guy a raise!

    I see this all the time in Shroud runs when things get laggy. So yeah, I'd chalk that one up to plain ole lag.

    Another bug:
    The effect of Ice Storm, in some cases, bugs out and lasts indefinitely.

    I was in an eDQ last night and the party wiped (maybe due to lag? Let's call it that) when the queen was at about 6%. For some reason, the ice storm effect remained active (not visually; just the damage and debuff) and continued to tick on her. ~5 minutes later, she dies and we all res up. Victory!

    Default Handwrap Bug

    Yes Indeedy Doody, When I logged in at lunch my Horc Black Lotus' Stonedust Handwraps worked properly until I switched to a wand to self-heal then back. After the switch back the +5 Enhancement Bonus disappeared from both "to hit" and "damage". Had to use a wooden spoon + bluff and sneak attack to get the 25 kills i need to hit lvl 12....Hellooooo Garments of Equilibrium...Uhhh Errrrr Wait LOL, Strike that...reverse it...Hellloooo ML12 Duelist Leathers, Cut-throats Smallblade, Guardian of Liturgy etc etc.

    I don't know why but since I downloaded the U9 patch my game frequently just stops. Before U9 it did sometimes but that was when everybodyelse complained about massive lags so I didn't bother much. But today, it got very annoying and persistent.

    I can't move, jump, take any action except typing and it is similar to being close to a DC. But my connectivity is still good the connection icon is not shown like from changing from yellow to red.

    Does any1 else have this problem? It is kinda annoying to logout and relog every 60 min or so.

    Additionally I didn't find anything weird going on on my PC but since I am not that into PC-technology I sure might not be able to detect a flaw on the machine.
    I play the game on ultra high graphics and changed to very high but it still continued to happen.

    I had a lesser fire resist shrine on my stormglory bolt that was unresponsive. The other resist shrines worked.

    Replacing the shrine (threw a mailbox in then a new lesser fire resist) worked.

    I did have this problem, reinstalling the client completely fixed it for me and for at least 1 other person.

    I've noticed some graphical errors, ie. water reflections are shown backwards, directly behind the character.
    And object and landscape outlines when viewed in front of water surfaces, show strange effects, and also antialiasing forms white outlines around characters when viewed in front of water surfaces.

    This ones been that way for quite a while, actually. I've been having to take off my bracers from VoD in certain situations to keep from accidently procc'ing a cold shield when I needed a fire shield.

    When using the crafting hall, if you close any other primary window (inventory, character sheet, social panel, etc), the crafting window closes with it, and you have to redo any selections (such as level, school of crafting, etc). I'm not talking about hitting Escape here, just hitting 'C' twice to open and close the character sheet will close the crafting window.

    • I had the mailbox stop functioning correctly. I was deconstructing a lot of stuff, and I had 15+ items in my mailbox. I detached a bunch, deconstructed, and repeated. After a while of doing so, when I tried to detach items from my mail, they simply did nothing. I tried repeatedly, and then decided to quit and log back in. When I did, it worked normally again, and the first item that I'd kept trying to detach was already in my inventory - so this could be lag related.


    • Shards of the + Enhancement type (+1 Shards, +2 Shards, etc.) cannot be deconstructed. They go into the machine all right, but there is no recipe (should use the liquid knife potion) to take them apart.

    Yeah, this one is particularly annoying. I bug reported it on Lamannia.

    That's been going on in shroud pt 1 since forever. I haven't tested the last patch yet, kinda busy... but are all monsters acting like that now ?? Or is it just shroud pt 1 ?
