    Default feedback on new build

    Bored so i ran this through planner. I think it should be pretty decent when buffed and geared. Decent AC, good saves (except will), average umd, spells and heals. kinda has a lil bit of everything. thoughts on if it can be effective endgame and epics?

    I was just messing around with things in the planner and came up with this. Is it a decent build? Im pretty new to custom builds. suggestions are welcomed

    Drop DEX to 12 (+1 tome for Tempest) and put all that into STR. Get Power Attack and it should be fine, Scimitars are pretty neat with the auto crits gone.

    too high starting dex, too little con/str meaning you will not have much hp and damage
    solution? go 'at least' 14 con, drop dex to 16 (you get TWF chain from ranger feats) get str higher and all lvl ups into it.
    drop weapon finesse and tw defense. take weapon focus and maybe another toughness
    make sure your final skills don't end at .5

    Not sure about 12 Ranger as Tempest 2 is pretty underwhelming and you're a level short of the ever useful 4th level ranger spell FoM. And DEX based finesse without sneak attack? How do you plan on killing things leveling up, nevermind epic.

    Max stat is pretty expensive (6 build points for final +1 modifier) You could use those points to raise STR to 16, put all level ups into it, and easily obtain 32 STR at cap. Scimy or rapier with elf enhancements and its decent damage against crittable critters, and you'll critical smite fairly often (if not for a whole lot)

    For the longest while, AC has been an all or nothing. Starting with gianthold, "decent" doesn't really cut it anymore.

    Just my opinions. Play what you want to play, it IS a game, afterall.

    hmm thx for the suggestions. I feel the need to explain a little though i know the rangers get twf feats free and i was aware of the low str/con but my logic was with a high enough ac for example buffed and geared modestly nothing crazy like epic items (yet anyways) he should reach the 60's no prob hence the reason for the high dex. i thought and this is where i might be wrong, that weapon finesse would use dex mod to make up for the lack of str. maybe im misunderstanding that feat in general. Also as far as hp gos yea hes not a barb with 700 hp but again buffed and geared 450-500 should not be to hard to reach. being able to self heal would help lessen his drain on the healers as well. just my take and i assure you im no expert in custom builds or ddo for that matter

    well put and i would have to agree that those 6 points would be better served in str or con for that matter but again i misunderstood the finesse feat which def would change how i would build this. and i think now that the 2 fighter may not be worth the feat gain perhaps maybe 2 more pally or 2 more ranger thoughts?

    Paladin is a tough splash since so many of their abilities are gained at higher levels. Best break point is 2, for divine grace bonus to saves. If you're set on 6 PAL, then 2 more ranger to get lvl 4 spells would be my choice, but not sure what PAL 8 would get (possibly divine sacrifice and maybe another tier of Exalted Smite?)

    Weapon finesse uses DEX mod for to-hit ONLY. Damage is still based on your STR.

    Paladin LoH is based on Paladin levels and CHA mod. I believe the formula is (10+PAL levels) x CHA mod.

    With a 20 CHA, LoH will heal you for 80 HP. Not certain it will be all that helpful at higher levels.

    60ish AC is decent for trash at higher levels, but having to rely on a perfect buff party is rather unrealistic.

    not sure i want to use those 3 tomes i have been saving them want to make sure befor i commit to using them
    should still be around 60ish ac self buffed with dragontouched armor which I already have. possibly higher when raid buffed.But im not a 100% sure on the numbers as i have never played anything but a barb. curious to see what someone who knows all the regular buffs would come up with for ac on this guy. The reason i went with 4 pally was to get the lvl one pally spells. the fighter was for feats and armor proficency.
