Default Buying L10 Deathblock Robe of Acid Resistance (For as much as 50k)

I am looking for the L10 Deathblock Robe of Acid Resistance. Visual appearance for the robe should be a dark brownish purple (comparable to leather) with a orange and tan mid section and orange runes on the bottom and sleeves of the robe. It also has a satchel slung on the left side. If you have it, contact me here or online as Ormadil. I will go as high as 50k. It must have no permanent damage on it.

I fail to see how this is funny. Im actually quite serious. Ive been looking for a replacement robe for some time. If im in a generous mood, its 50k if anyone is interested. Yes, i know its not worth even close to that amount, but i really dont care. I have quite a bit i can spend so for future posts, don't just take the time and post here to laugh at my face.

Hmm I'm not even on Sarlona but just thought I'll try to help anyhow. Shouldn't you be able to craft this too if you get any robe that looks right?

Yea, but the trick is finding the right robe. Thats why i listed mine. The plan is to bust it down for crafting, so i can keep the look since ddo has made it impossible to break down bound items. Im going to reapply deathblock then im going to add heavy fortification (Once they make it possible to craft the stinking shard.) Then im going to chuck all my PM out the window and throw the necro dcs towards evocation.

Why would you make an evocation specced archmage in U9? They were cool in U8 but they have been nerfed quite badly. Pale Masters rule supreme at the moment.

You craft BTA items if you run quest chains which reward BTA items that are random loot gen. Sorrowdusk, Attack on Stormreach and others can all provide these BTA items that you need.

The look of robes is random, if they are not named items.

If you want to craft, you can use any robe with the right look. You don't need to look for a Deathblock of Acid Resistance.

Also other Deathblock of Acid Resistance robes might look different.

Also, you do realize that you are going to outgrow that robe very soon, and this is going to seem like a lot of effort/money for something that you aren't using anymore, right?

If the issue is the LOOK of the item, that you MUST have, just use the one you already have.

There are cosmetic enhancements from DDO store, as well, that you might find even more appealing.

If the issue is the FUNCTION of the robe, what do you care what it looks like?

I think I agree with the 1st poster, this thread gave me a chuckle, as well, and there is no need to take offense.

    Default Really?

Melcena - "I fail to see how this is funny."

    REALLY?!?

--"Visual appearance for the robe should be a dark brownish purple (comparable to leather) with a orange and tan mid section and orange runes on the bottom and sleeves of the robe"

My good friend hand crafts some stunning wedding apparel. Let me give you her number.

I'd like to order a supreme pizza, not because I want to eat it, but so I can see all the shiny colors. I'll use my camera to take some beautiful panoramics, and once I'm done, I'll make sure to scrape all the toppings in the trash before eating it.

--"If im in a generous mood, its 50k"

You're not giving a donation to the poor, you're requesting a specialty item. If anything, the price should be higher.

--"...don't just take the time and post here to laugh at my face."

Oh I didn't take the time. The time took me.

    "Im actually quite serious."

    Yeah, I know you are.

I believe I have one contact me in game.
If it does not look right, I ll be glad to send every single robe I loot until you find the one you like, just send me back the ones that you don't like until we find the right one ...

On a side note, I m a vintage guitar expert, dealer and Luthier.
A Stratocaster 1961 slab board "sunburst", which is the standard color would run you say 20k in near mint condition.
A Stratocaster 1961 slab board in Fiesta Red or Blonde with gold parts will run you 40 to 150k ...
Does it play or sound better because it's red ? ...
A les paul standard 59 with plain wood top, no flames, curls or anything fancy in the wood will run a solid 150k ...
A les paul standard 59 with an exceptionally flamed maple top may fetch 400 to 600k ...
Does it play or sound better because it's flamed maple ?
Does a Comex Rolex or an original Paul Newman Daytona keep time better than a newer Rolex or even a 50 USD quartz Swatch ? not at all no it does not ... on the contrary ...
Apply to cars, food, clothing wine, cigars and everything in between that is a luxury item.
If you do not understand the concept of looking "good" applied to your character in DDO then I guess you wouldn't understand why one would offer 1M plat of virtual game currency for a lvl 1 or 10 robe or item ...
I guess for some it's alll about performance, dps and function and for others it's not ...
I guess you should respect the fact that anyone should be allowed to spend whatever they want to spend on just "looks" because if it matters to them and it doesn t matter to you, no one is forcing you to spend YOUR money on it.
Their money, their priority, their goal ?

There is a fine line between informing someone as an expert of what "we" as experts, would consider to be the current "market" price for any item and tresspassing the boundries of how much one wants to offer willingly to achieve a certain look ...
If they want to pay X times the current market price, as long as you inform them that they are somewhat overpaying what does it matter to you ? really ??? Price police and look police anyone ?
DDO to me is a great game, I m a complete noob and I m enjoying the "performance part", the character build and tweaks but I also enjoy having my toon look what I consider "right" according to my own vision and I respect anyone's vision as long as they respect mine ...
You think his / her vision is silly, it's your opinion, you're perfectly entitled to it. Argumenting that red is better than blue though is pretty futile and pointless ...
Spending X hours a day, a week a year on a game and wanting to have your character look a certain way ? Is that really that silly or that much to ask ?
    I think not ...
    Can you spell J U D G E M E N T A L ?
I would much rather spell H E L P and R E S P E C T others like so many in this game that have helped me getting started and understanding it because at the end of the day, to me , in my humble opinion, open minded and tolerant people with a positive and generous attitude make the world a much better place and therefore, the game much more enjoyable ...
Game people .. game is the key word here ...
