    Default Kalashtar

How would you implement them for DDO?

I know there are people out there that know a lot about Kalashtars. How do you think they will be implemented?

    + to int?
    - to con?
    racial abilitys?
Please consider your future in DDO and invest in HP.

Most of the basics can be based entirely on a handbook to DDO translation:
    - same base starting stats as a Human (i.e. all 8s).
    - +2 racial bonus on saving throws against mind-affecting spells and abilities
    - +2 racial bonus with Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks. They are described as the "masters of social interaction". As such, I would be inclined to give them a second racial "graces" ability for each as well, in the same manner as Half-Elves.
    - ** extra power points per level, assuming psionic classes ever appear in DDO. Without psionic classes, the true advantage of a Kalashtar is wasted, and as a result I wouldn't bother implementing them without psionics**

    Racial enhancements:
    - bonuses to psionic-related things, such as improved power points (similar to the class-related "energy of ___" bonuses to SP)
    - racial stat enhancement bonuses to Wisdom (provided it's the main psion stat - I can't recall if it is, but I seem to recall Wisdom for some reason)
    - perhaps a weapon bonus with mindblades

I believe the primary stat for Psion's is in fact Intelligence in both 3.5 and 4.0

Aerendil is right though, without psionic based classes there is little to no real point in having Kalashtar in the game.

They would also get a racial faith (for the Clr/FvS/Pal) that gives them favored weapon: unarmed.
Which means their turn undead profieciency clicky would likely give Improved Unarmed Strike as a level 1 monk, if possible to implement that.

Actually the FvS variant would be automatic IUS, right? Makes me wonder if it'd scale as a monk (it shouldn't per tabletop), or if they can limit it to counting as a level 1 monk, and any actual monk levels override it.
But it needs the centering requirement removed from it, as well.
Wonder what multiclass things people would come up with from that.

So anyway, since most races get a +attack and +damage line with their favored weapons, Kalashtar would get it with Unarmed. Mindblades are the other option, but that's a class feature of the Soulknife (and takes the shape of other swords, anyway). (Speaking of which, if we *do* see a Soulknife, I'd want it as a PrE for Psychic Warriors that adds Psionic or Force damage to their melee attacks, rather than generating weapons. Possible stat damage effects as well.)

ok i dont really like kalashtar :/

because it just seems like they are built specifically for one type- psionic. I mean sure you could fit it in other things, but their true advantages are specific to being a psionic, and i think those sorts of races should be left to NPC chars.

but im all for any new races if they do decide to make these
adversity is something we face every day - for a true test, give someone power

Out of all of Eberron's signature races, I think they have the least to offer gamewise for DDO.

    Shifters could be amazing, though.
"How can you stun someone vs. Fortitude?"
    "...Punch them in the head?"
    "Oh... right."

I couldn't agree more. rolling hairy humans and RP'ing just isn't enough, lol
