Has anyone else notice that the overall quality of random loot has dropped since crafting materials are added to chests? Is that an incentive to get people to craft by deconstructing more junks and better loot through crafting alone?

No, I have noticed no difference. The chests give me the same garbage they always have.
Maybe you were on a hot streak prior to U9 and you luck happened to run out about the same time U9 dropped?

No difference in junk loot, however I do see larger loot tables now. What I mean is that the junk loot stayed the same, and crafting materials were added on top of the junk loot and don't replace anything.

The only difference (besides the crafting materials) I have seen is a variation in in the number of items in the list. For the same quest I'll get a choice of 3 items and another run of it I'll get a choice of 12. Strange.

I'm seeing a ton more elemental touch weapons in lower level quest than before. In fact...I remember rarely ever seeing "touch" weapons.

Yea.. Didn't exist in the loot tables before u9, their new.
Persoanlly I think they are diluting the low lvl loot tables making them worse, as they essentially garbage.. But there was a devpost saying they should just be replacing garbage that otherwise worse garbage.
Either way, this game had so much potential for random loot to be fun again if they did crafting like they said they would, (let us actually take off suffix/prefixs, and put them on other items.. So if you found a nice GEOB, but it was the wrong weapon type or something, you could take it off and put it on another wep.. And set some requires like say, only a ml20 wep can accept the best pref/suffix.. So random loot especially in endgame dungeons like ToD would be fun agian)
but no... What **** you deconstruct has no real bearing on what you can craft..It's still boring ****, worse then ever infact since the stupid random ingredients waste pack space like crazy.
the only place ive seen a drop in items youd want is at pawn brokers and in the AH.
I saw nothing good before and nothing good now, so no change for me.
Lowbie chests are so much better now. I used to never get anything out of a lowbie chest. Nothing. Zero.
Now I actually stop and loot it so I can do more GD crafting....

Since crafting I've pulled 3 metalline of PG, which I'd never done before, and a clean paralyzer. Which sell for nada since crafting. But loots just as good.
