    Default Seatbelt Fetish

    Really Devs,

Do you have to ruin reasonably cool armor skins by installing those hideous crisscross seatbelts across the chest and back?

I just acquired Parasitic Armor and although I love the base skin (it's always been one of my favorites), the S & M seatbelt has got to go. I seem to remember several other new armor sets that employ this same accessory graphic (perhaps Duelist Leathers or Snakeskin Vest?). In any event, stop it

I'm while I'm on it, what's up with the basket weave guantlets and boots on the Parasitic Armor? You had the chance to do something really cool with this armor skin...something skin tight and twisted

i dont mind the seatbelts so much, its the skulls on armor that bugs me. it just feels kind of cheesy. that or they should implement motorcycle mounts.

I kind of like the skulls, if they're done well; but I definitely see where you're coming from. When I was envisioning the Parasitic Breastplate, I thought of perhaps distorted faces making up the armor.

The problem is that even most of the store kits are rubbish as well. I think part of the problem is that although the Parasitic Breastplate (as is all Mithral Breastplate) is "light" armor and the corresponding skins match those of Leathers and such, even though it's a Breastplate.

    Oh well.

seat belts = safety comes first? So many high speed zerging and you must wear seatbelts... better yet bring it with you.

I was hoping it would look like the living breastplate that daelkyr wear: http://img83.exs.cx/img83/5076/daelkyr2ig.png

('Cause that's what it's supposed to be.)

I have to agree; the whole thing just looks insufficiently organic.

Needs to be more fleshy and unsettling, with distressing pink veins

    .

This is more like it! I do like the base skin, but I hate to see named armor (or any item for that fact) look almost the same as random generated loot.

But I digress...what do you all think about those seat belts across the chest. I understand that it's a place to sheath your swords behind your back...of course, we can't graphically sheath

    I wonder if

Your Life With the Thrill Kill Kult

    Is similar to

My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult.

-1 to skulls and too fancy armor, while that's meant to be intimidating to orcs and peasants not everyone wants to look like a scarecrow.

I had praised the dark/steel kits for being less fancy in color and details than the rest but the new kits seem to continue the trend.

There's plenty of barbarian and gladiator plates already, monk outfits and pajama mail.
Rogues/bards/rangers are supposed to go with light armor since all outfits are for monk.
Paladins have no knightly looking armor. FVS have to go with mithral plate, most of which is purple.

And then there's few plain helmets, only the garzad type looks simple and steely, the rest all have spikes, etc.
If there were more helmets in the store i'd take one but there's only hats.

That daelkyr looks like he's wearing chitin. We should have chitin armor in game.
