    Default Necro 4 sigil fails

    Once I get back on my computer I'll post screen shots, but I have 11 runs in all four necro 4 orchard quests and not a complete sigil.

    Am I the only one whom has had no luck in getting the eye to drop?

    My suggestion to improve the system. Give us a special end reward every 5 completions of the normal 4 quests. This list contains 5 of the sigil pieces you get a choice of one from.That way you have a fairly good, but not 100% chance every five runs of each quest to have a full sigil. This way tediousness at least has a limit. Ideas?
    Veriden, Orien server: Lost count of lives. 3 of all base classes, 3 halfling, 2 gnome...working on trying to make the game work again. May or may not return.

    It's not just you....I have had some bad luck getting the last piece on one of my characters as well...I had to do some 25 runs to get the Eye myself.

    Then on other characters I have flagged them in less than 6 runs total because people were handing me sigils they didn't need. It's just luck,,,you'll get it eventually.

    I agree the flagging mech should be changed, it's the only one that is so tedious and not guaranteed every run.

    Normal at the very least should be a 100% chance at dropping a sigil piece...with casual maybe being 50%.

    The way it stands now the flagging mech for this raid is out of line from every other one.

    Before the update, I ran my FvS through those. I recall having the conversation with my husband that I thought they made it easier. The first run through the quests out there we both got the parts that drops from the quests. The 2nd run through we both got the parts that are random. Very quick. Very Painless.

    After the update, I see a HUGE difference. I am running one of my TRs out in the Orchard today and I got 2 parts. 2 parts and we did those quests for about 2 hours today.

    I also noticed that on my 1st trip into Vol in this life, all I got out of the end chest was +5 studded leather.......No gold, No part, not even some crappy arrows.....just +5 studded leather.

    IMO, something is wrong with the drop rate out there atm.

    I could just be having some really bad luck though too...

    I think it's just really bad luck.


    Was in a run of Vol and GoP tonight, probably nine of one, four of the other. Between them I got all of the sigils besides the ones unique to Fleshmaker's and Inferno.

    I guess I should add that we have been avoiding the pug scene.....
    2 manning those skips out on generous puggers who don't need the pieces.

    It has absolutely nothing to do with the new update.....if you get your sigils done quickly you just got really lucky.

    I really do believe that Turbine has it secretly implemented that when you get close to completing Sigils for Necro 4 or completing the Rares quests in the wilderness areas the probability of them showing up lower a lot.......if you happen to not get hampered by this you just got lucky....it really seems that way to me as I notice this on pretty much every character I have ever capped and I have capped about 18 of them so far including TR's.

    PUGging them is the way to go.

    Often you'll have multi-TRs with you that don't care about anything other than the Inferno static drop.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    Just to note....u can use extra pieces for your next life so save them if you have em.....helps your next trip around. You also only have to redo HiPs if you don't have access to greater teleport to reflag for the Titan raid...save your sigil. I suspect this may be "fixed" soon tho.

    Thanks every one, while we weren't pugging there were 2-4 sets of hands on each chest so it wasn't like a decent chance to get them wasn't there. Am the only guildy of those that have been running necro 4 that isn't flagged. (one toon is flagged and sapped all possible xp out of litany. I personally don't even care for the abbot raid. As the toon I'm trying to flag is 12/2/2 pal/mnk/fght currently and a single tr.

    I'm just avoiding the vale for as long as possible though. Thank the gods or w/e that sigil stones are 100% chance in vale flagging.

    That's just an artifact mechanic from the time when the level cap was 14. Since you *literally* didn't had anything else to run after capping, you get into Tor to get 60 relics and 25 scales, or into Orchade to gather sigil pieces, or into Litany to get tome pages.

    Now that the level cap raised, and GH/NecroIV loot arent all that hot anymore, they look like a insufferable grind with few rewards. But turbine reduced Tor flagging from 60 to 27 relics. Maybe they'll work into orchade sigil/tome/shield soon.

    Helping a guildie get their sigil last night, the one from Inferno dropped really soon, we only ran it twice.

    I've ran that quest too many times just to get the specific sigil out of there for Incinerating. It only took four runs to get the specific sigil for Pallens.

    Two possibilities...

    Normal should have a 100% chance at getting a sigil from the list of sigls that drop randomly.

    Hard should have a 100% chance at getting the sigil specific to that quest.

    Elite should have a 100% chance at getting both the sigil specific to that quest and a sigil from the random list.

    Alternative....

    Normal can stay as it is.

    The sigils on the random list are assigned a specific quest and on hard there should be a 100% chance at getting that sigil.

    Elite should have a 100% chance at getting the sigil that is currently assigned to that quest.


    The full set should be accomplished by running all the quests on hard and elite AT THE MOST.

    If you want to run on normal, I can see it being more of a grind since you are running it on the easy setting but there should be some kind of mechanic that will guarantee a full set without grinding for it, especially if you run it on harder difficulties.

    I don't mind flagging but I don't think there should be a grind to advance the quest story.

    11 runs for 8 pieces doesnt seem that out of line. What pieces are you missing still?

    What difficulty are you doing the quests on? I'm not sure if difficulty effects the drop rate on these though... Would make sense if Casual dropped less though.. They did change that for Vale flagging...

    I read that as 44 runs total.

    My first one took almost 60 total quests, in fact, I didn't do litany until about 18 months after coming out because of that and a 4 month break. Was so ticked I just ignored it existed for months at a time.

    Thats me now. Been ransacking Freshmakers, Vol and Ghosts and still need a center frame. Sooooo tired of grinding Necro....

    This is on my 2 year old sorc that still hasn't did Litany.........

    ok, 44 runs is indeed crazy.... when I flag, I generally run in a group of guildies and we usually have all the pieces we need within 3-5 runs of each quest.

    Getting the sigil is the true horror out there..
    Ran inferno with a friend to 100% xp penalty/ransack and beyound before I got the frame part.
