The optional jump jump chest. Three locked doors, first you can use the silver key on the route up to the doors. The other two need a 55 DC (I think) knock/open locks check.

Jump up through the portal once the doors are open. Kill the mobs, open chest. Then DD back to the start. Shine. Exit and reset.

Pretty fast 5-10m runs.

Ran it once on hard @ 18th to get an idea of what i needed to do, then again on elite and it dropped!! I was shocked!!

Are you running it on elite?

In total it took me over 100 runs to get it.
65 or so in Titan(before update where it started dropping in DD), rest in DD.
I guess I was very unlucky.

I wouldn't even bother on hard to be honest. I've seen it drop too many times on elite to do anything else.

it drops pretty often in hard as well. i've gotten both of mine on hard in less than 10 runs each.

If you can only open hard, that's what you have to run.

If you're not VIP, and thus have to actually do the previous difficulty, getting a group to completion on normal is easy. Getting a group willing to complete Dreaming Dark on hard or elite is rare.

care to elaborate on the "lvl 5 dots on end boss" thing? don't get it. I am running hard on my caster as thats what i can open and been having a tough time finding a group to complete on hard

Drop rate is 1.5% on Hard and 3% on Elite. I highly suggest running it on elite as you double your odds.

I've been pretty lucky helping people get theirs, 14 Elite runs is the worst luck I've had, most were under ten and 50% of those dropped in the first 3 runs.

It's actually not 3% on elite. The 1.5% chance just rolls twice, so you get a 2.9775% chance of at least one and a 0.0225% chance of getting 2 at once.

eladar's electric surge and niac's biting cold, presumably. keep them both on the boss, and kite (you could stay close if the main boss wasn't going to disable you due to cha damage)

yes, but it seems to have taken far more people a lot fewer runs. it could be that the data we're getting is skewed, but i've seen far more of the "got it in <10 runs" than i have of the "haven't got it in 50 runs" type of responses. to me at least, this implies a better than 1.5% chance on hard, and better than the double 1.5% chance on elite. yes, there will still be those unlucky few who go many runs without getting one... but that's just bad luck.

obviously, to get better accuracy, someone should farm the quest a few thousand times... i would like to be first in line to not be that person
