    Default U9:Angel of the Chalice

was thinking of running a 14pal/6fvs toon. havent ran it thru the planner yet but starting stats for 32 pt would be something like 16 16 12 8 8 16. elf for scimitar damage (also largest crit chance). any suggestions or criticisms?

also i noticed that at lvl 6 of both classes u can take advanced beliefs. is it possible to take 2 Unyielding sovereignty-s? it would be lulzy but might not be worth AP.

Perhaps you should clarify what you want FvS 6 / AoV 1 to add to this build you won't get out of a pure paladin. Because right off the bat you're giving up Divine Might III & possibly IV, KotC III, and paladin capstone; that's an awful lot of DPS you're sacrificing.

yes but u also gain a -2 to enemy ac and will saves. shield of condemnation (which stacks up to 5 times) gives a 20% increase to good/light/alignment spells/abilities (so it works with smite and DS) and a -10% penalty to fortification, more sp and spell slots(so u can take zeal(PAL) and cure serious wounds(FvS))

Shield of Condemnation is not going to stack five times. You'll rarely see it stack even twice.

20% increase to light is good but DS II's light is only 77% of DS III, so you only get back to 93.3%. You gain some from the holy on your weapons and across the board with reduced fortification, but you lose the capstone and KotC III.

Shield won't work with Smite Evil, which does multipliable weapon damage rather than alignment damage. Alignment damage is those Holy Smite type of spells, which you won't even be able to cast at level 6 FvS. You'd be stuck with Deific Vengeance with caster level 6.

The AC penalty is unnecessary, paladins have enough to-hit.

The Will save penalty I can't think how you would even use it.

You're losing out on 12 HP from the base dice of the classes, and you're only starting with 12 Con.

    .

In sum, I agree with unbongwah that you seem to be giving up a lot without gaining anything.
