    Default Docent for WF FVS

What's a good docent for a WF FVS? Other than Red dragonscale, of course. Blademark's seems ok, but am I missing a named docent somewhere?
Balladeer Blackcloud (don't step on my Blue Slaad shoes!), Phantom Company (now you see us, now you don't).
My Alts on Sarlona include Archi Medes, Pythagoras (Knows the Angles!), Techmech, Deepshade, and Doctrine.

Are you opposed to a Dragon Touched docent?

Well, it really depends on your build, but what about a DT docent? There you have some options as to what you can put on it.

I love the quariforged docent of battle from "The Mindunder" quest in Inspired Quarter. It is greatness.

    (1) Blademark's, while leveling ... ML5

    (2) Gorgon's Docent - CON 4 / Earthen Guard. Pretty nice.

    (3) Docent of Defiance ... ML 10 ish I think

    (4) Custom Dragontouched

    (5) Quorforged Docent of Battle ... CON 6 / SFL / Toughness when fully upgraded

There are also casting / ish docents out there - Corpsecraft, etc. I tend to level with one of those or even things simply like Deathblock / Stability or Deathblock / Command.

    Personally, I like

    - upgraded Quarforged

    - DT with nice runes

    - Docent of Defiance

    - Blademark Docent

Also cool, but hard to get:

    - red dragonscale

    - titanic docent

    - epic docent of grace

I used my Corpscraft Docent all the way up until I hit 14 and put my Dragon Scale on.

You can usually find one for a resonable price.

Defiance, and put an armor kit on it to avoid permanent damage and make it BtA.

Epic Blademark is better than the red docent in some situations and has identical slots.

DT is highly configurable for either a melee or evoker centric build.

Low level now you could customize a bit too. I just made a level 3 or 5 Blood docent of invulnerability. Not sure which works out better - 60% base healing instead of 50% or the lifeshield procs.

Thanks for all the input : )

I'm not opposed to DT, just seems like such a grind : (

Prey on casual makes the pain much less. The naming on the runes makes it even better than the old days. I personally use DT on my WF FvS because you can customize it to your needs.

Several other good ones out there...

The new docents from Harbinger and Reign of Madness have some potential as well

The Fleshshaper's Docent is pretty nice; Disintegration Guard, +10% healing amp, and (depending on your FvS build) upgraded with something like the dance guard or +10 Will (or Reflex) save. Only downside is the loss of a handful of spellpoints (minor inconvenience if you ask me.)
    http://ddowiki.com/page/Fleshshaper%27s_Docent

also the Beholder Plate Docent (lacks the *drool* factor IMHO tho)
    http://ddowiki.com/page/Beholder_Plate_Docent

As mentioned the upgraded Quorforged docent (+6 CON, +40 false life, +20 toughness) is pretty sweet, epic or super rare stuff aside I'd say its a toss up between that and a Dragontouched (I plan to TR into a melee oriented FvS at some point and have a Resistance +5/Healing Amp +20%/Destruction equipped DT banked)

For middish levels, don't overlook cannith crafted options; guildmate put together a ML12 Deathblock Docent of Superior Stability (+6 AC/saves) with a medium guild slot (+15 HP crystal), not too shabby.

Excellent for a WF FvS for leveling purposes. Eventually a strong potency item will replace it.

In my view the Quorforged and Dragontouched are arguably the "best" options. Dragontouched docents can be really fun, but getting the exact docent setup you want can be a bit time consuming and frustrating at times.

Might have to drag trip back onto a hotbar for giggles.

Do you remember anything about slots getting cleared like previous upgrade recipes? That will be the only sucky part...
