Default Current build plan. Advice appreciated.

This is not what I currently have going, but will be here in the next couple of days when I LR him. I am currently at level 12. I was curious, since something feels wrong about him, what it may be. Any advice?

    Drop diehard. Get power attack.

Then have a blast kicking and punching your way through Eberron. Monks ftw!

Why go halfling? Check out what you can do with half-elf dilletantes. You can add up to 3d6 more SA damage and even more heal amp (stacking with monk heal amp).

    Why Halfling?

    1. Midget Monks are awesome.

    2. I already selected Halfling, and am level twelve. Lesser Reincarnate won't let me reselect race. ;P

@Mindless: Diehard has already proved that it would've been useful several times over for me by now. I always get dropped to about -3, and only sometimes stabilize.

Power Attack is useful 100% of the time. Diehard is too niche to rely on -- get more HP instead.

Less Jump, you are way over cap with a Jump spell.

Less Hide, you can get an Invisibility clicky.

More Balance, Monks are much less impressive when flat on their backs.

No Diehard, get a Mantle of the Worldshaper, it has Regeneration.
    Tip# 203: Death is a traumatic experience.

Okay. I can see your point.

Which is not always available, and it fits the flavor of the character, but I guess I could stand to reduce it a bit. Maybe drop some of the ranks from here to UMD?

Dark monk. 1:00 minute invis clicky, 10 ki. But does it not apply to boost my sneak? Hence Move Silently.

This I agree with. Will do.

Planned on that, paired with Voice of the Master. Sounds good. Smarter than a feat, I guess.

I appreciate the tips, Mindless, Carpone, and Guru.

Edit: Updated build in original post.

Edit edit: Found out what was bothering me. For a more balanced, proper build, I realize that I get the following changes[according to the planner/stats listed] at level twelve: +2 to damage, -2 to-hit, -4 AC, -2 Will/Reflex saves. This is, of course, not counting the tome of supreme ability +2 that I am pondering whether or not to buy.

    Cool Playstyle

    What feels wrong?
Lack of dps ? Low survivability ? Low kill count ? Cannot see above the kneecaps of a wf?

    The stats are ok.
Not convinced by some of your enhancements but personal preference is a trial and error thing for most.

I would be interested in your equipement and choice of weapon combos to get a better feel of possible issues. I only ask as if you were not aware of the mantle of the worshipper you may not be aware of other opportunities.

What is your standing HP? What about your AC?

PA is a definate feat choice for Dark Monk - all about DPS.
Balance is a must - hide and move silently a bit pointless as unless you solo a lot will get limited use - consider UMD (use of heal wands / scrolls) / Intimidate (may not be so useful after u9) / Diplomacy (has its uses)

You can gain survivability with the stonedust vampiric wraps which if i recall are lvl 12.

You should be using wraps in all cases and vorpal kamas only for your dps output to be maxed.

But you need ot spend time figuring out what is bothering you and the answer I am sure will be easily found.
Pom may refer to: An alternative word for the British /Polyoxymethylene, a common plastic polymer / Pompom, a decorative ball / Baby Pom, the youngest of the Fimbles /Puddle of Mudd, an American hard rock band

    @Dude:

I'm a newer player, and this is my original character. I was only made aware of mantle a few days ago, and forgot until the prior post. I plan on running almost strictly handwraps, and have been keeping an eye out for vorpal kamas.

Something felt off, maybe because the fact that it's one of the few characters I will have ever run without Weapon Finesse. Again, too used to building for PnP, not MMO. ;P

My HP sits at about 160 before reincarnate, should be better after with the boosted con. AC is roughly 35 at most times without buffs.

I appreciate the insight eyes from the other side of the looking glass can provide. Keep the comments coming, they are all appreciated.

    --Trowis

    Edit:

I'm thinking of dropping Monk WIS II and Half DEX II, as they are both currently at odd levels with at level 20, and would both be 18's without. Comments? Tips on where to spend the points? Maybe Monk Imp. Recovery, and possibly any other stances I would qualify for? What say you, oh wise and venerable forum machine? xP
