    Default This totally wanted to make me puke but I know Stainer will love it.

    I saw a Denny's ad on TV for baconlia. They actually had a bacon Sunday. One look at it totally made me want to puke. I can't even imagine how gross that would taste unless you're Stainer.

    There's no way that's possible. The next thing you'll be telling me there's an Easter Bunny too.

    Even if it did there's no way it would taste good enough to offset the fat & calories.

    It's the American way eat anything you want and don't care about the Calories, Fat, or Sodium in what you are eating at a restaurant.

    This is very true. The last time I was at Dennys was for breakfast. I looked at the nutrition guide they have in every booth. They had 5 or 6 different breakfasts that had over 1000 calories in them and those also had over 100 grams of fat. Why people don't read those calorie guides is beyond me. A Dairy Queen Blizzard is something like 1400 calories. My metabolism requires 3400 calories/day to break even if I don't lift or run that day. The DQ Blizzard is almost 1/2 of my daily caloric intake. That's totally insane.

    Yes I do count calories, but actually for the opposite reason of what your probably thinking. 3400 Calories a day when you're eating clean (Chicken/turkey breast, extra lean ground beef, tuna, egg whites, fruits, and vegies) is hard to get in over the course of 5-6 samll meals in a day. Ask Gornn I have him doing the same thing and he seems to be getting great results but he'll tell you the same thing. It isn't easy to eat that many calories when you're eating clean. I don't think he's taking is as many calories but he's on the same routine as I am. Either way he'll tell you it aint easy to do.

    I need that 3400 calories/day to keep what little muscle I have. At my age (43) it's much harder to put it on so I do what I can to keep that muscle. My body fat stays around 12-15% until summer then I try to keep it close to 10%. So if my body doesn't get the right amount of protein & calories it will go straight to muscle for energy and use fat as a secondary energy source. Again at my age I need to keep all the muscle I can. So the long of it is yes I do but it's not as wimpy as it sounds.

    Oh, and yes, during the summer the beer tends to be light beer. The problem is they taste kind of blah after 3-4 so I switch to vodka and diet tonic with a squeeze of lime. Very refreshing and only 74 calories with almost no carbs. So yes light-beer man would be valid I guess. Does that make you feel better?

    No carbs at all?

    Extra lean beef is probably worse for you than medium, just have to drain the fat off on medium. Depends how they get it extra lean where you live, but around here it's a saline solution thing that just means you're paying more for less real meat.

    bacon = salty
    ice cream = sweet
    salty + sweet = delicious

    Have you ever had a chocolate covered pretzel or peanuts, or a Take 5 candy bar?

    Similar principle for a Peanut Butter & Mustard sandwich (better on toast than plain bread).

    Mustard = tangy
    Peanut Butter = sweet
    Tangy + Sweet = delicious

    That's what I tried to tell my employees when we got a chocolate fountain to celebrate our yearly bonus. As we were thinking about what to buy to dip, I emphatically stuck by bacon...sadly, no one ate it
