    Default Past Life Feats

    As I consider TR'ing a number of character I am caught at how useless some of the past life feats are too many builds. So with tha tin mind I have a suggestion.

    With three or more PrE plays should have a choice from three (or four) different past life feats for each class. Each of these Feats should highlight one of the the PrE for the class and than maybe one generic one.

    The feats don't have to be over powering but need to bring something to the table.

    For Example Fighter

    Past Life - Kensei - Plus 1 to hit and damage and plus 2 to confirm critical.
    Past Life - Defender - Armor Mastery and Shield Mastery - Increase Max Dex allowed by 1 for both Armor and Shield
    Past Life - Purple Dragon Knight - TBD
    Past Life - Fighter - Plus 2 to hit and Damage

    Past life feats are already pretty powerful. Sure some are useless in regard to future builds but they all add to the character in one way or another.

    Ranger past life is by far the worst. "stacking +2 resist to elements!? Awesome!"

    It would be interesting to see them change the past life feats (at least the passive ones) to match the PrE taken by your character. However, I can already see people changing their PrE with an enhancement reset just before TR'ing, therefore optimizing their characters a bit too much for my taste.

    There are people who LR+3 to get a specific past life instead of the one they would normally have. This wouldn't be too overpowering, and people would be TRing for specific past lives anyway in this case, so there's no reason to discourage enhancement changing.

    My question was going to be how people with past lives are going to be treated: do they all get the base PL, or do they get to pick?

    You lost me when your example followed the line "they don't need to be overpowered", but then had one of the better past life feats (fighter) changed to something thats AT LEAST 4x better than what it is now.

    Yeah, I was thinking that as well. especially since most of the passive ones aren't that bad. the purchaseable ones however gah.
