I've heard of people topping 100 STR in bursts (seems insane to me), but I'm mostly talking average players here. As you said, maintaining 60 and bursting to 80 STR isn't a major feat for many players. They have their highlight well taken care of. As do casters now. AM isn't king of DPS, but it is king of utility if you make it right. PM is certainly king of Necromancers and still provides a lot of utility. Savants offer major DPS against almost everything in the game now. Bards can go any of three ways with their abilities and are well off in those regards. FvS only have one PrE but it's so amazing I'm doubting they need another. Rangers have Tempest and AA (which could use a little tweaking, as all ranged combat could), but those two PrE's show off how versatile and deadly a ranger can be. Master mechanic may be useless now, but with a little work and a third tier, it could become very useful. And there's always assassin for the rogue who wants everything.
But I'm just rehashing what I said before now.
Really, I'm sure Turbine is working to show off the major aspects of each class, but taking time to develop new content, implement new systems and spells, add in new classes and races, and balance it all so we don't have Dwarves and Drow Online again, while keeping the live servers up and running and trying to squash the bugs that seem to pop up constantly cannot be easy. They're still releasing PrE Lines that haven't been made yet and finish the ones that are only half done. Give it time. It'll get there. Slowly... eventually... we hope.
Believe it or not I often use kitties and puppies to regen my mana outside of epics... triggers torq and con op. My death and lesser auras on and they eventually die off anyway. Block and it is rare if ever do I get tripped, and if I do so what - am still in blocking mode and my auras keep her topped off anyway. When I tire of them I cycle necrotic blast, bolt and touch... that costs no mana and a single cycle is about 1k of damage delt out. It does cost me 15hp on a cycle but my aruas are healing me a constant 38 to 60 every two seconds maintined up at 3 min between them. You know I never thought about it before but the necro sla's are far better than a barb's double Death frenzied in that respect - is more damage then it and no cost. Nulification, void lore and potency go a long way I suppose... Thing is you never really have to stop to heal on a necro at all you just run and kill is the game. Solo eDQ2 just perch and blast toss a spell so often, solo eWizKing perch and blast gnolls but the undead take some mana ... keep just out of melee range most all the time.

100 str burst is pretty well aligning stars, pretty sure all gear and horc and every pot will only do so ... and is certainly scoping extreme order to do so. I run Meallach (stands unraged at 42) at about 64 normally under death frenzie, she is human though and I think is max'd she's ever been under burst is just past 80 for all of 18 to 20 seconds of use when I do. To get and maintain double madstoned, titan'd, cookied, store potted yugo'd etc... all at same time is not an easy thing to align. I suppose we could squeeze in epic abashi but at a cost to dps from eclaw... would make no sense because eclaw trumps epic abashi slightly in dps.
I know Nick run int on his wiz around 52 so he claims readily.
