    Default Random Spell Suggested Changes

    Big Spell Change Recommendations:

    1. Trap the Soul changed to have no cap on Hit die; why not if you removed epic ward.
    2. Horrid Wilting is buggy, for simplicity sake it should just be fireball with a slightly larger blast radius.
    3. Dominate Spells; make it until the timer runs out with no save or the extra saves much longer say every 5 mins.

    Archmage spell like abilities suggestions/opinions

    Tier 1 abilities:
    -Magic Missile: great
    -Grease: for annoying people
    -Hypno: nice free CC
    -Invisibility: Really? i can scroll this; change for color spray;
    -Jump: Worthless clickie, featherfall is more useful at least give a choice (rather surprised enlarge person isnt in game); or make it a toggle ability
    -Shieldrobably worst of all, protection from evil would be a nice alternative; though interestingly if you allowed it to work with the shield mastery feat that would be interesting, because technically it is a tower shield. Other than that just may want to make it at least a toggle ability

    Tier 2:
    -Blur: Meh okay
    -Command Undead: worthless; free false life or ghoul touch may be nice
    -Gust of wind: nice, Shatter would be a nice alternative
    -Knock: Worthless you cast this spell barely ever and if you do its not that much anyways; alter self is an actual useful replacement
    -Ottos Resistible Dance: nice
    -Resist Energy: Abjuration really seems neglected; why not spell Protection from arrows DR/10 vs arrows with no max on caster level like stone skin? This would be great for leveling if you dont have bramble casters.
    -Web: awesome

    Tier 3:
    -Chain Missiles: great
    -Displacement: not bad
    -Halt Undead: not bad either but for purposes people typically use even scrolls are adequate; vampiric touch would be cool
    -Haste: Not bad but being able to spam slow on mobs as CC wouldn't be horrible
    -Hold Person: Not very useful; Deep slumber would be a useful alternative
    -Protection from Energy: Not a whole lot of choices here; explosive runes is a pnp spell; to make it competitive with others could make it mass protection from energy
    -Stinking Cloud: not many choices here

    Tier 4:
    -Charm Monster: opinion here; not very useful for how much sp pool you lose; would like to have crushing despair
    -Dimension Door: worthless like knock; make it an abundant leap like ability or create black tentacles spell
    -Enervation: I can scroll this; bestow curse would be a nice alternative
    -Fire Shield: its okay; if you could increase sonic damage with enhancement lines then shout could be an alternative
    -Phantasmal Killer: worthy
    - Stone Skin: not terrible with new changes
    - Stone to Flesh: you think that giving a spell that is level 6 makes up for it being useless? not really sure though what to put here

    Judging by how you quantify the spells you have never played an AM to cap and two you really have never played a caster period. Yes some of the spells are kinda bad but when you look at the particular schools they are some of the decent but not overpowered spells.

    Can you explain what you mean? Horrid wilting is not buggy? trap the soul should be capped? Which arch mage SLA did i mention that weren't useless that are very useful?

    As a reference of how much ive played an arcane I have a multi pastlife capped wizard (also played sorc) who has nearly every piece of useful caster/noncaster epic and non epic gear.
