Care to elaborate? Is it every time you log out to switch characters? Have you submitted a bug report?

It may only be the installation on your computer. Have you tried restarting your computer and/or the client? Reinstalling? Defragging your Dat file? I believe the LOTRO one works for DDO, but I use gamebooster personally.

I for one have had no issues with crashing or strange lag.

I didn't notice any changes when switching toons. I do appreciate the faster "tavern-like" logout times from anywhere now.

It's amusing that people still like to quickly blame an update/hotfix etc for every problems without checking around first.

I've noticed problems with lag, rubber-banding, and some minor stability problems since the downtime yesterday... but not before that. U9 had been pretty stable up till that point, at least for me.

It feels like I'm crashing more often now.

Usually it was only the desert and orchard and s few other random zone in crashs. But now let's say 1 out of 3 times my game says byebye after using the Ship navigator, pretty often noticed when i was porting to house k.

update your graphic card driver. i had problems with desert and orchard myself some time ago, driver update fixed those. i had problems with CC event and zoning into smugglers rest, another driver update fixed that too.

Just to give a counterpoint. I have crashed exactly ONCE since U9 came out. And that was when me and my hireling wound up on separate sides of the final barrier in Delerium and I was trying to get back into the room to kill that beholder.

(I finally found out that if your hireling dies in that room while you are outside of the room and there are puzzle pieces floating around you have to dismiss the hireling to drop the barrier).

I have not been playing much recently, but the lag does seem more pronounced since the downtime. I crashed opening up my bank last night, first time that has ever happened for me (before it was only a switching zones thing).

Maybe I have an unusually robust operating system, but I NEVER crashed. Not once since started playing DDO in October 2009.

    Thumbs up

I haven't "crashed" in ages and ages. I did get some server disconnects last year when my router decided to take a permanent vacation from reality but went away as soon as it was replaced..

All relatively low res video settings and I defrag my disk often...

Crashed twice in 5 years...I guess it has to do with how you take care of your computer also...

Some are hardware conflicts, I get that, but those are really hard to predict with so many permutations of computer parts from different manufacturers available.

All in all, DDO is actually one of the most stable programs I've run so far.

    Same boat here.

I've had lag in the past, but even that is all but gone. Serverside lag in some quests, (Shroud) but nothing game breaking.

I play at 'Very High' graphics setting. I also have a dedicated computer to DDO. No office/music/art programs at all.

Just NOD32 virus protection, Yahoo Messenger and Firefox.

Maybe all those people having crashing issues are because of program incompatibility. I doubt Turbine runs their trouble shooting computers the same way gamers run their home computers.

    Just a thought.

I have seldom have the game crash on me; and has not done it since I got my new computer.

I have noticed some lag spikes in certain areas, since U9, the sub and the gnolls quest out in the vale. I tweeked my in game graphics settings and that seemed to take care of it for me.

So, to the OP you may have under lieing issues with your computer and/or your ISP.
