Default Players characters invisible (right forum now)

sorry for the double post, i just realized ill probably get the kind of help i need in this section of the forum...

So last night I was in the crafting hall doin my thing. I noticed that my bank was starting to not really respond. Game crashed completely. (dnd client has quit working)

This has happened once or twice in the past so I initially thought nothing of it. I cleared cache and rebooted before relaunching the game.

Now when im in game, other players characters disappear unless I view them form certain distances or angles. I can still see their name and their weapons, but the toon itself is invisible. Everything else in game seems to be fine. (myself, npc's, buildings etc.)

I am on a sony vaio with plenty of processing and ram. I am running on windows vista. I am using direct x 9. (upon running my dxdiag I found I actually have dx10. didn't even know)

    At this point I have:
    *updated and reinstalled graphics drivers
    *changed multiple graphics options
*set graphics options to default from launcher
    *uninstalled and reinstalled game
*renamed userpreferences file in ddo files
*Ran scans and diagnostics on my hardware (everything says working properly)

Any help as to what might be going on or what i can do to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Stephen

I'm wondering if the crash caused some DDO files to become corrupt, which would require a clean reinstall of DDO.

Other games or programs on your computer aren't doing similar weird things, right?
