    Exclamation Now would be a perfect time to introduce GS Deconstruction.

    Can anyone think of a more urgent need to finally bring Green Steel Deconstruction into this game at last? because I can't.

    We already have the user-interface elements in place, in the House Kundarak Crafting Hall. Just implement some new "Dissolver" items to randomly show up in Vale/Shavarath/Subterrane/Devil-Assault chests. One for each GS Tier, to give you a random amount of Smalls, Mediums, or Larges, and another one to "disjunct" the GS item back to a blank state. Make it depend on the character's crafting level if you have to. ANYTHING.

    If the number of mats you'll receive depend on your crafting level, it could also encourage players to try out the new system some more just to increase their crafting XP before they decon their GS.


    It would be very uncool on Turbine's part to not compensate all the players who've lost their Larges to the recent bug, and I don't think they'll accept anything besides other Larges.

    It would also encourage people to do epic content. All their work making gs items wont go to waste when the get their epic gear.

    Simple suggestion to implement it:

    Sacrifice one Supreme Tyrant single-shard item: Get 7 Epic Dungeon Tokens
    Sacrifice one Supreme Tyrant dual-shard item: Get 13 Epic Dungeon Tokens
    If the item is cleansed: Add 5 tokens.
    Turn in 3 Epic Tokens: Get one large ingredient of your choice, bound to account. Concentrated materials (e.g. Pure Material Essence) created with one or more of these materials are also BtA.
    Turn in 20 Epic Raid Tokens: Get one Essence of Cleansing.

    No epic dungeons are easier than Shroud Normal, so it doesn't make getting Greensteel any easier. It would, however, change the current situation where running Shroud is the best way to improve pretty much any character, even toons with so much gear that they find Elite Shroud a joke.

    it would make greensteel easier to get in that i could farm epic snitch, etc. etc. every day :P Thats .3/day for each quest i tack on...

    but i do like the idea :], id favor just deconstructing into base components, but that might be inviable :/

    ima say 5 eDT per mat, or a similar increase would be better, 3 is a bit too easy.

    Greensteel items are better than almost all epic items though...

    eSnitch is not as easy as Normal Shroud, so no harm.

    I didn't suggest 5 tokens because then disenchanting an Epic item would need to sunder into ~10/20 epic dungeon tokens, and that starts to trivialise getting dungeon tokens. When running a bunch of level 16-17 content becomes a seriously viable way to get EDTs, there is a problem.

    1:Apply deconstruction to the three current tiers in Shroud for their respective tiers.
    2:Whenever an item or imbued shard is entered, it will recognize the shards and pure essences which the item contains or the raw shards/ess themselves, nothing more, nothing less.
    3:Items must be deconstructed into shards, shards can then be turned into the larges which created it.
    4:[I liked the implication of epic content into Vale mentioned above) Use epic tokens to deconstruct it.

    (The same as the one messed up.)

    For me that would be a min2 gs kopesh.

    But I won't hold my breath...



    It would be nice if they would comment on what they want to do.

    I'd rather have the completed item than have to start out all over again...

    But then again being able to deconstruct gs items would make the game better I think...

    Greensteel is raid loot. Its NOT crafting. Its supposed to get obsoleted.

    Yes. People should be fairly compensated for failed recipes.

    If they wanted to implement GS decon then they would have.... as you say, all the groundwork is there.

    I hope they don't.

    I would however be in favor of a new type of "cleansing essence" being available as part of the 20th completion list. This new essence would clean the item of the "bound to character" state and change it to "Bound to account, Binds to character on equip".

    Make it possible to get some use out of an item that has been made obsolete, but make it hard and give it a cost. Choosing this option means you don't choose a +3 tome or the existing cleansing thing.

    GS deconstruction is long overdue.
    1. Items that were made in the past (like necklaces) that are no longer useful because of new gear.
    2. Expensive mistakes.
