Let me preface this by saying Bogenbroom = Fanboi. <3 DDO and Turbine. There are, however, several areas that are long overdue for some attention. Things that have literally been requested for years. Most of these are not strictly content or game play related, and as have a lower priority (as well they should) but they have been requested for so long that they really should be dealt with... please....
- Voice Chat. This has been a problem since game release. Not only do you need to tune all other audio in game down to < 20% to have any chance of hearing voice chat, but there is no way to equalize individual player's levels. While I recognize that VC may be something that is not modifiable, being provided by a third party, a statement to that effect would be appreciated, and some work on at least dealing with consistency of audio between all sources would help a lot.
- Exporting Character info. This has been requested for years. The ability to export into a text file of some sort all of your character's information including, but not limited to, stats, inventory, spellbook, and bank. Tracking this information between several different characters is a major annoyance. Trying to figure out which one of my 12 wizards doesn't yet have symbol of fear is a pain in the arse. There is not a good reason why this doesn't exist other than cycles. Just export it... the user community will do the rest.
- Auto Login. A basic feature that should have been in here from launch or slightly thereafter. If someone manages to get into my computer, my DDO password is not very high on the list of concerns I have. Having to continuously type in my password is an annoyance that should not have to exist. To extend this, having the ability to single click and log straight into a character (say, via command-line arguments) would be wonderful. I should be able to "turbinelauncher.exe /u:<mainaccount> /p:<password> /a:account /c:character"
- Password verification for DDO Store purchases. This is fairly obvious.
- In-Game equipment and spell sets. We have them for weapons (and a glorious addition they were when they were added.) But "sets" for equipment would be extremely useful and wizards and clerics would *love* "sets" for their memorized spells. Pretty please!?!
Thank you for your attention.
