    Default The Shadow Thief's Guild

We are a lvl 33 guild with ship and buffs and are looking for some more active active active players who are interested in questing with fellow guildies. You need only to get ur toon up to lvl10 to become an officer and the guild leader is on daily. I would like to build the guild up to have enough active players to begin having guild raid competitions and plat. Also the guildie who gets the most new guild members in the month of may will recieve an item worth 10kplat or more and an additional 10kplat. If you invite a new gild member please have him mail me with ur toons name so that I can keep track.

I don't know you and I don't know your characters, so I hope you take this as the friendly advice it's intended to be, rather than an insult of some kind.

First, most people (especially those who actually read the forums) will look askance at a guild that is so openly just trying to recruit players, without caring about their quality. Who wants to join a guild made up of random people? Especially other people who were willing to join such a guild? It's like the old Grouch Marx telegram: "PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER"

Second, offering to pay people to invite lots of randoms just makes the first point worse.

Third, the amount you're offering will scare away most players who've been here a while. 10k plat is nothing. We regularly throw away, vendor trash, or break down 10k+ plat items. Our repair bills alone can get up to 10k plat. The fact that the guild leader thinks this is a tempting reward is a big "steer clear" sign.

I would suggest instead that you talk with your guildmates, get to know each other, and try to work together to improve your game. Your guild will level up naturally while you do this, and you can start inviting players who you PuG with and who you think do a good job.
