Default On the status of Mournlands and Lamannia

    To whom it may concern,

To be truthful game changes don't upset me as they do other players. After several, I see that players are able to adapt and the game goes on. I have no problem with tweeks, nerfs, and updates. I take them as they come.

I do have a problem with half finished projects being sent onto the live servers. I also have a problem with updates that break functioning parts of the game. It seems that the tools in place to prevent this do not work. It is an often repeated problem.

There is only one logical solution, disband Lamannia and make a live server your test bed. Give people that run on that server some extra TP or something. Those folks can test releases under load, giving you the feedback you need on what is broken or unplayable. This is basically what you do now, only you involve every server in the test. Not making a lot of sense to me.

    One more suggestion.
Open Mournlands up to more people. People that will actually break things.

Wheras, I get what your saying, the biggest issue I see is this... When something breaks, gets lost or seems Nerfed... MORE people will complain about it... and innocents (i.e. those that don't read the forums to stay on top of these breaks, losses, or nerfs) will be hurt in the process.. Now making Lamannia more accessible or desireable for testing may be an answer.. I've only gone to Lamannia once (that was to see what a HORC would look like). This is mostly because I don't have the time to run toons on the test and the live server due to work, kids, life schedule.. Granted your TEST on LIVE SERVER would seem to fix that, then I must point back to the beginning of my post for why this is not a great solution. One thing that "could" help is a LONGER time on Lamannia before it's released so more testing can be performed... NO ONE will like that idea as we all want it NOW NOW NOW. I am a QA Software tester and have been doing this for the last 10 years... there is no PERFECT code, no Perfect answer and from what I've seen in my life virtually NO WAY to avoid bugs, once the code gets over 2000 lines of code and DDO is surely several hundred thousand lines(or more) of complex code.
