With smiting now doing decent damage, theres no reason anyone who isnt the roaming caster cant be smackiong the portals. I usually dont pee and moan if theres a piker in the lot, unless theres too many of them.

And cheap GCB always did the job as well. It always annoyed me when some clerics just sat there at the portal (why? No one is taking damage anyway) instead of hitting it.

Sad thing was, this was a TR. Not like it was his first rodeo. Even sadder, everyone else in the party was swinging, including the healers (good on them for it! ). I don't necessarily do the most Deeps in the world (two T3 Epic Brigand's Cutlasses, for ~30 Damage + Anarchic Burst + Absolute Chaos per swing), but I've always been of the opinion that any amount of help counts. Heck, on my Sorc I'll Ice Storm + Dreamspitter away when there's no trash up to clear.

Saddest, the performance of said character in other portions was less than redeeming.

Part 2: I had the CC up. DC 39 Dancing Ball, Mind Fog, Crushing Despair. Had them up, had 10 devils dancing, and was passing out Spellsong Vigors before he even made it to the center (I zerg, therefore I am.) He did not attack minibosses, did not CC, did not scroll heal, did not... well, I'm not sure what he did do, really.
Part 3: Did not run water. Did not toss buffs afterward going into Part 4.
Part 4: I think he healed some?
Part 5: No help with minibosses/buffs, and his idea of assisting with Arraetrikos was hit Greater Shout, wait six seconds, toss Mass Cure Mod, wait six seconds, repeat.

The only thing of any quantifiable service that they did was Trance + IC, but.. mine are longer and better (yes, that's what she said), so really they just wasted songs.

As a note, when you use Google Translate it gives you the chinese symbols. But if you look just under them, you'll see a button that says "read phonetically". If you click that it will give you english characters that you can copy/paste.

For example
