    dear america, you scare me.

i guess i should say grats.

Fact is despite doing my duty and loosing freinds, i wish you could all see this is not a simple clear cut idea of him bad guy us good guys. Fact is both sadam and osama were trained and funded by british and american resources to keep the russians off the oil, the whole war on terror is a propaganda campain so that we can clean up a mess we made 20 years ago and keep fueling a war economy while securing vital resources.

it realy bothrs me how you guys can be celebrating some ones death, whatever they may have done.

some things for you to think on:
from a british perspective the war of indepandance was 'an act of terrorism'
from a roman perspective the rise of christianity - including the burning of roman temples was 'an act of terrorism'

I dont believe it is at all. Its not nearly as shameful as people that cant simply say thank you to the soldiers for dedicating their lives for the freedom of humanity, in the US AND around the world. Its shameful that they can't say thank you to those that have laid their lives down, never to see their families again, because they believed in fighting so people can live in peace. That's not just an American ideal. There are many many countries, that will be celebrating tonight.

Its always the minority that has to rub a soldiers face in the sand.

And that rubs THIS proud, thankful American the wrong way.

    QFT

"Terrorism" is a concept conjured up to enslave a nation. When we talk about people dying from terrorist attacks we're talking about hundreds a year in the USA. And the investements to counter-terrorism is several billion a year.
Then we take a look at heart disease and how many dies from such, we're talking several hundred thousand of people, and when we look at how much is invested we see that we're talking about millions, rather than billions.

War is a tremendous source of money for inversters, and it always will be. War is not brough about because of disputes, it's brought about because it's planned, and money is the endgame.

Though you were called rude, I'll give you that. I'd say that was more a misinterpretation of what you were trying to get out though more than anything else. My opinion only.

It isn't. But it can be. It's just propaganda that it should cost something. The whole monatary-market system is the source of all the world problems right now. It worked in the 30's, but we're living in the 21'th century and we're not limited by resources or technology anymore.
Apply the Venus project's ideas and we're much more likely to live in peace and prosperity.

By all means I thank the soldiers who's been fighting all over the world, god knows I'm a trained soldier myself. But the reasons for war are often not what people suspect. To think without a doubt that 9/11 was caused by one man or one group is just a blind fallacy printed in most people's minds through propaganda.

Look behind the curtain. You might be suprised at what you see.

America did not attack Britian, in fact, the colonists did not want a fight, they were driven to seek independence once the crown made it clear the colonisalists were not going to be treated as equals to their British cousins. Events like the Boston Massacre, where 5 civilians were murdered by British troops were the beginning of the conflict. If the Colonialists were to retaliate Al Quaeda style, then instead of forming militias and declaring independence, they would have attacked London. They revolted, huge difference.

As to your point about being bothered by seeing people celebrating in the street, I am not wholly in disagreement. It does sadden me to see my own people carrying on the way many of the Islamic extremists people do after a big terrorist attack. I do not particularly like it, but I remember. I remember them dancing in the street on 9-11. I remember sitting in Camp Legeune when word came out that 2 of our embassies were bombed. I remember my wife waking me up crying to ask if we would have to go to war if terrorists destroyed the twin towers and attacked the Pentagon. I remember my friends dying. I remember driving through New York City a week after the attacks and seeing the carnage. I remember these things, and while they do not make it alright to dance on his body, metaphorically, I understand that after all the lives he has hurt, many people simply cannot keep their hearts in check right now.

Life is not black and white, that is true. But some parts of it are. Murdering innocent civilians in a willful act of terrorism warrants only one punishment. And I can not view those who take satisfaction in its delivery too harshly.

Please use common sense. How would it help to claim that He was dead if it was not the truth? He would have only to make a video where he pops up and says hello to deliver a massive black eye to the west that would be the greatest pr boon he could have ever hoped for.

Do you not think that the most powerful military forces on the planet would consider this before engaging in such a deception?

I mean its pretty obvious to me and I was just a ditch digging pain sponge, thinking was above my payscale.

Bin Ladden as a living martyr back from the dead is not a monster that those tasked with defeating him would willingly create. Consider the implications of such a scenario.

This thread really is on the verge of someone saying something that will get it closed now.

A gaming forum (even the off-topic section) is no place for either anti or pro american and/or western sentiment, leave politics out of it.
Mention that a certain somebody has died, but leave politics, moral judgements and the rights and wrongs of people, peoples or nations out of it.

I'm going to answer your comment by my bud that I just spoke to on the phone. He's spent most of the last 23 years overseas...(the last 9+ years dedicated to Iraq and Afghanistan.) since we both graduated from high school.

I read your last comment to him.

"I'm only gonna say one thing and I'm gonna let it rest. What more do you want when the man openly admitted to masterminding 9/11 on video. Are you seriously kidding? Not only did he personally take credit for it, his co conspirators admitted to it as well saying Osama was the leader. Are ya kidding me ? Thy all I've got to say about that."

And that's all I have to say. We disagree on the conspiracy theories of 9/11 and Osama's death. I will thank you for your service, and can agree that many politicians have lied to its people, including ours. But I feel yesterday, a very good deed was accomplished.

    You confuse terrorism with treason.

Treason is acts against the ruling party be it monarchy, government, political party, or religious sect.

Terrorism is acts of violence against non-prepared humanity. Attacking soldiers while sad is not terrorism(see redcoats vs rebellers in the Revolutionary War) attacking civilians is.

The colonists committed treason by signing the Declaration of Independence even mounting a defense when the monarchy's forces came to quell the rebellion. Technically the redcoats could be seen as terrorists as they attacked "us" on "our" land (which we colonists terrorized the native americans for).
