Hi Musouka,

Players are redeeming the coupon successfully, so they do exist.

Make sure you have view all items set to yes, as it is possible that the character you are using is unable to see the scrolls due to class filtering.

Let me know if it continues to be an issue.

The other bug that seems to be happening with this free DDO store stuff is that the store wont open for some of us.

I click on the store button in game and basically get a blank screen. I have reported the bug and yet the store is still blank for all of my characters. Not much fun for me with this bug going on. Yes I did the log out and in, the quit and log completely back in, the change characters to see if that works, and still no store.


It is also good to know we have to have available turbine points to "buy" the items with. Kinda lame but at least I know.

I never heard of class filtering before.

I tried to get Mass Aid Scroll yesterday, and could not find it in DDO Store. The only scrolls available were Mass Camouflage and Mass something else. I am fairly sure I was on my Ranger character -- is that why?

You can purchase these sort of consumables without meeting the requirements. It just won't show them to you by default unless you meet them.

Well...so much for the free part, huh? The good news is that since there are only 25 days left of the promotion when the free offers were cut off, one can easily grind to 100 favor or get to their next favor mark to get 25 turbine points and make up for the loss. I wonder if this means objects such as free hearts of wood and other high-value items may be given away? I best keep tuned for details...

And I have a feeling no doubt Turbine is listening...alright, ill give you my report. These promotions have allowed me to learn more about the DDO store and how to use it. In addition, these free offers help me review the options I have when buying products in the store. So far, the only thing I have used are the tokens of traveler. I decided not to use all of them in case of future promotions. The other items I obtained so far have not been used, although I do not doubt that I will use the haste points, the anti-beholder crystal or maybe even the elixir of angels tears.

It is nice to get these products for free because I can try them out. I might even buy them in the future if need be, depending on what I find useful! The free giveaways you have might encourage me to use the DDO-store more for purchases, depending on the nature. There are some useless items in there, such as the scrolls of mass aid, and maybe even the haste potions, but that's stores for you. There's bound to be items not of interest to you. I believe the ddo store promotions you do will allow you to regain the expenses spent from these advertising campaigns...and then some.

Worst deal so far, airship beacon for 1 instead of 10. If it had been the x5 airship beacons, that would have been worth doing.

From now on will be 1 TP and not 0 TP. I guess this is beacues of the people that do not have enough TP to buy the itesm, cannot apply the coupon. Now they can. I guess.

Well, some people choose to translate messages differently. It is only their choice whether or not they want to purchase a item. When the cut-off for the free offers ended on May 6, 2011, there were 25 more days after that where there could be a DDO store promotion. Is it a coincidence that 25 also happens to be the number of points gained for reaching a 100 favor milestone? You tell me. But still, if one were to slowly make a character for the purpose of gaining 100 favor, they would eventually make up for the loss.

Heck, they can even cut out unwanted DDO purchases and save points, I.E.: If a offer like a +1 dagger were to be on sale, most people probably would not get it, especially since it is most likely not tradable to a vendor. Even if it were, the resell value would be low, and the crafting components would be near-worthless, at best. But all in all, its merely a workaround until the real deal comes out: One could easily regain the points lost if even light effort is put into it.

I was actually referring to being whiny in general on the forums/in-game with this thread being a great example but w/e I think Madfloyd did right with the change it was the quickest fix to the problem anything else wouldn't happen for a while thus not helping the free items month.

I speculate that we might be getting something BIG coming through the store sometime in the future. It could be a blessing of the traveler. It could be a heart of wood, or a dragons blood. Of course, it could also be just a fix so more people are capable of participating. I am sure if they have a promotion like this again, they will have this f...

Oh nevermind. I shall enjoy my 1-TP loot!
