    Default Deepwood Sniper: Sniper Shot

The description I see for this says it makes a "ranged" attack. Would that work with thrown weapons?

    A follow up questions:
Would any of the Arcane Archer abilities give a benefit to thrown weapons?
Does manyshot work with thrown weapons?

I can't say for deepwood sniper, but Arcane Archer abilities only works with bows. For what it's worth, Improved Precise Shot works with thrown weapons, so it's possible the DWS ability might too.

DWS was intended to be the general ranged weapon user whereas AA was bows only, sniper shot works with any ranged weapon though I have not tested thrown weapons personally.

If anyone of the AAs feels like testing it: The DWS is just an Enhancement reset away - the prereqs of DWS are PBS and WF: Ranged on the feat side and Tier 2 of each of the skill enhancements for Spot, Hide and Move silently.

I remember testing this way back. and yes it does work. but it doesn't give a +2 crit range to your thrown weapon attempt... only +1...

And for those wondering what I'm talking about, a broad +1 crit range applies to weapons of all types... in this case the bow AND the arrow giving +2 crit range.

Sounds good, I think I'll go for it.

What is the cool down like?

Stacks with Improved Critical: ranged (ideally changes the "base" bow, which is then multiplied by IC:R?)

Nope :P. The only Critical Rage(I think?) used to have this same problem with bows. a silver longbow would crit on a 13-20. Only bows got this benefit.

Ambyre used to be a deepwoods. It works primarily with any range weapon - "+4 to hit, +1 critical threat and +1 to critical threat multiplier and is best to click with manyshot and a bow for the burst damage because it last a short time.

Because the cooldown to me seemed a little long for what we get AA is much better for now.

The best thrower damage in game would come from a halfling kensie.
