    Default Triple Strike on Dual Wielding, Exotic Two-Handed Weapon

    (Misnomer in the title, and the original content of this thread; should be Quadruple Strike, when it says Triple Strike; maybe should get some sleep before typing these up)

    Two things;

    1. Make it so that when you double strike while dual-wielding, you apply your off-hand chance to proc to your extra attack; effectively meaning you can quadruple strike (2 Main hand attacks, and a chance to proc offhand attacks on each). Why?

    As is, double strike means more for two-handed fighting toons; not to mention, it means attack haste overpowers double strike chance for dual-wielders.

    Oh, and it would make the Tempest 3 double strike chance worth a ****. (+ you could then make Air monk and haste double-strike chance; which if it supposedly decreases lag so much, I see no reason not to implement it as such)

    2. Create a two-handed equivalent to Khopesh; Why?

    This would balance out the above change, and more importantly, increase the appeal of Two-Handed fighting to Fighters, who unlike most other classes, are as far from feat-starved as it gets; the extra damage related feat Two-Weapon fighting has to offer fighters (Khopesh) means Two-Weapon is often considered superior to Two-Handed for fighters.

    And here's the weapon;

    Katana(Really, any Oriental-Two handed sword would work)
    1d12 17-20x2

    If either of these is implemented, they would have to be implemented in tandem; as is these differences means both Two-handed and Two-weapon out-do the other under certain situations or character builds; to implement one change, and not the other, pretty much screws over the other weapon line.

    Let like stacking bonuses scale down tiers; i.e. wearing a +2 dodge/excep. item and a +2 dodge/excep. item currently is only +2; let the 2nd +2 item imitate a +1 item, giving you +3. Allow this for all stacking bonuses (Heal. Amp 30->20->10) Absorption (20->15->10)etc. Lowest tier bonuses (10 Heal Amp, 10 absorb, 1 dodge) do not scale down ever.

    Nice ideas. I'd agree to them, except for naming it a Katana, since we already have a near equivalent in the B*Sword. They equivocate the two as being similar in a lot of source material I've seen. A No-Dachi (hope I didn't murder the spelling) would be more fun, and it is basically an overly large oriental style sword that I believe is meant to be used two-handed. Would have to check some source books, as I'm thinking it was in one of the 3.0 or 3.5's I have laying about.

    Tetsubo, 2H Great Club, 2d6 damage, 19-20/x2 crit (Asian flavor, perhaps rename to Orc Great Club or something)

    Bardiche, 2H Great Axe, 1d10 damage, 19-20/x3 crit (Here's your "Khopesh" similar profile, favorite of Humans?)

    Double Sword, 2H dual bladed Staff 1d8 slashing, 19-20/x2 crit (fast like a Quarter staff, Elven Double Blade? Can be used by Acrobats)

    Dire Pick, 2H War Pick, 20/x4 (1d12, piercing, Favorite of Duergar?) maybe OP, but the flat 20 may bring it in line.

    I dunno, but something along those lines...tied to the various races to give a reason for the "exotic" in exotic weaponry.
    So much to learn, only so much time in the day...

    Why? It's ok that two-handed-fighters benefit more from double strike. They better change Tempest III instead because two-weapon-fighting is a given with this PrE.
    I agree tho that we should have an exotic two-handed weapon.
    Feel free to contradict yourself!

    Already implemented. Doublestrike procs offhand hits just the same as any attack. It can do glancing blows too, but only if performed on attacks which have glancing blows.

    Not intended, but thats how it always worked. And means that it does indeed provide more of a boost to TWF then THF, tho the difference is small.

    I had to go back and change what I wrote; pretty embarrassing typo; is it possible to get a quadruple strike while dual-wielding, which is what would actually make it equal to Two-Handed double strike?
