    ...fire way to aviod this in the future. Become chummy with mom-in-girlfriend and ask he if she has any old photos of girlfriend when she was a kid. You know go through all the old family photo albums.

    You will never be force to go to one again.

    Just like if you don't want to be involved with wedding plans suggest a NHL theme.

    Go, drink the drink, eat the food and just plan your next build/ TR in your mind. The more you drink, the faster the time passes and you'll be chomping at the bit to get on home to DDO - plus you can surf the DDO forum on your 'net phone to help pass the time as well

    The only really surefire polite way to ensure this doesn't happen again is to get totally drunk and start a foodfight at dinner. Just blast the mother in the face with some mashed potatoes.

    Afterwards, apologize profusely, blame the alcohol, but rest assured, they won't invite you again on the off chance you show up wasted. Until you get married that is...not sure if you should do that at rehearsal dinner or not.
