Default Wizard AM and evo SLAs

With the recent changes to the force line and force spells, it seems a solid choice to max this path. Also, the synergy with the evocation SLAs is difficult to overlook (missiles and cyclonic blast primarily), but I'm wondering about the end-game usefulness of force spells.

Currently running enchantment/evocation AM WF wizard on his third life, but I'm not back to 20 yet ^^ I'M also hesitant about this choice considering the now not so useless insta-death spells on epic.

I dropped SF: conjuration to try out the evocation SLAs. I'm missing the free webs but hypno and deep slumber takes care of cc for now.

P.S Best new-found spell : circle of death!

As far as I understand it, there are only a scant few enemies that are resistant or immune to force spells, and those can be attacked by specific elements fairly easily, or at least you can lay down some CC and let the melee go to work.

With this new update, I think a force-based sorcerer or wizard is more viable than before, judging from the relatively low SP costs when compared to your more damaging elemental spells. Don't expect your damage to add up to a fire/cold based wizard, or just about any sorcerer. But, like I said above, not many enemies are resistant/immune to force spells, where as fire and cold have many.

As far as end-game goes, I think wizards still gravitate toward buffing, instant death, and crowd control rather than outright offense (although they're not weak, by any means). Sorcerers, on the other hand, seem to be more inclined to late-game offense than before.

Keep in mind cyclonic blast will remove your own ice storm, likely actually lowering your overall DPS, specially since the enemy saves for half (or zero on hard and elite)

In your average shroud, this leaves you with arcane bolt, arcane blast, magic missile, and chain missiles as SLAs, and force missiles and the regular chain missiles. (Horrid wilting does not appear to be working...)

Since he saves for half, (or zero) this means the spells you want to cycle through are really SLA chain missiles, chain missiles and force missiles, with the odd magic missile SLA torn in, while your ice storm is going.

This will work well, but will compare relatively poorly with, for example, ice and lightning spec which will have an ice storm going, an ice single target DOT, an electricity single target DOT, and will be chaining polar ray, freezing sphere, chain lightning, and the odd frost lance when cooldowns demand it.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

    Cyclonic blast SLA.
Cost: Feats, AP, permanent SP cost, and 15 SP per cast.

    Cyclonic blast spell:
Cost: 5th level spell slot, 15 SP per cast.

I know, I know. Free heighten, maximize and empower.
On the other hand: cooldowns through the roof and then some.

For me, the damage SLAs have lost a lot of the appeal ever since I can blast away with spells.
Druids have a fundamental right to bear arms.
