Racial restriction is an awesome item ability for lowering level requirements on items, allowing us to craft RR into items or at the very least, keep the RR in items found would be a true boon to item crafting.

the best possible crafted item would have a large slot and a RR preferrably of the characters race. Obviously finding an item with just those two requirements that is of the right type would be stupidly difficult.

Therefore a second suggestion would be the ability to craft guild gem slots into existing items.

Then maybe, just maybe, there would be a few more item combinations that could possibly be almost as useful as epic equipment, for being just right for a specific character with a specific build of a specific race after he managed to completely master the crafting system.
