Game client does not download

Hello all,

I am using Windows 7 32bit.
I am trying to download the game but I cannt for some reason. It does not download, the small aplicationqlauncher does download but it itself cannot initiate the downlaod of the game itself.
Does anyone have an idea why?

There have been quite a few reports of this lately. Could you post your DXDiag? Also, it would be helpful to know more about your internet connection - wired or wireless, home connection or dorm connection, etc.

The first thing I'd do would be to unplug the power cord of your cable modem and router for 30 seconds, and then plug them back in. This power cycling can sometimes fix things, and it's really easy to do.

If you're on a wireless connection, try a wired internet connection by ethernet cable straight into your computer's ethernet card. Doing that can eliminate the wireless router as the possible cause.

Check your antivirus and firewall programs to make sure that things aren't being blocked. You could even disable those programs to see if DDO will download and install properly. (Windows Firewall in Vista and Windows 7 can still cause problems, even if it seem to be disabled.)

The DDO downloading program (Pando?) sometimes behaves as if it were a peer-to-peer file sharing system, which some networks and internet providers sometimes block. Contacting your network administrator or ISP might be helpful.

Hopefully this gets you started on fixing this problem.
