Honestly instead of sounding like a broken record on what I did not find appealing about the new system of crafting here is some things Id like to be considered one day.
Crafting for the little guys true time sinks:
Ability to craft our own personal items- Potions/Wands/Scrolls
Even if these items are bound to character I feel that the ability to learn how to forge such things would provide a decent time sink for those of us who are jonsing to craft. Give it a plat/xp or time penalty limit the amount of said item that can be made in a time period. We could also incorporate collectible drops into said recipes for these items. Torn pages from research diaries would make perfect fodder for a craft scroll resource.
Deadly fever branches for your own patent cure disease elixirs, etc.
For rogues the ability to craft tools would be a nice thing a long with trap making just to keep things interesting. Sure its not as convenient as buying them or getting them in chest drops but it is a time sink and gives an alternative for those looking to do more with their rogues and crafting.
Honestly I am glad the developers are putting in more time sinks and I wont knock their tries I just would love to see a broader range of options outside re doing weapons and armor. The ability to craft our own unique named items and trinkets one day would be another nice step as well. I am sure others have their feelings on this and feel free to leave your ideas to. I just would love to see a more rounded version of crafting in the game at some point.
