this is nothing new, it was so pre u9. Skills are different than attack and saving throw rolls.
When a dice is rolled, a natural 1 or a natural 20 does not grant an automatic failure or success.

I, personally, have found quicken a slippery slope. I've taken it as wizard lv20 extra feat, and now I can't run with it off anymore. I've never had problems with concentration (mainly due to the fact that my concentration mod is ~70 or something like that), but now running with quicken off just seems slow

or am i? i'm so confused right now. god if only i had quicken on! maybe i'd be able to take this beating with my senses straight!

Truga - yea playing this char after my sorc or fvs with quicken makes me sad. It's okay I find good l-o-ls with him sometimes to cheer me up.
