Where to find the new level 5 spells?

I'm looking to find Niac’s Biting Cold and Eladar’s Electric Surge. I've checked both the portable hole and house J; they don't appear to be on the level 4-5 scroll vendors.

Any ideas where to find them?

Aww, you actually thought Turbine would put scrolls of the new spells in the vendors? How adorable.

Get lucky with some loot, that seems to be it. Today I saw some guy spamming the harbour with "WTB scrolls for new spells, 50k each."

New spells are never added to spell vendors right away. Heck if you are lucky they remembered to put them in the loot tables so they can be pulled from chests. If you read the release notes, you'd see they are first releasing two such spells from the last update, cyclonic blast and something else, this update as they "forgot" to put them in the loot table then. So just keep opening every chest you come across, spread the word to people you know you are looking for them, and/or keep checking the auction house to see if somone puts one up for sale.

Does anyone really read those things? You try to but then they list 20 pages of enhancements, and your lookn for the ones ya care about, your retina's glaze over causing temporary blindness and you miss 4 or 5 of em.

Bah. Well, I guess that's the downside of being a wiz ('tis my first one). Guess I'll be running a lot of ?Sands? quests to try to get it to drop.

Here's hoping that it's in the loot tables...
