Default Zombie form supposed to give paralysis immunity?

After turning Zombie form on, I noticed I was affected by Earth Grab from an earth elemental. I thought undead traits would make me immune to paralysis effects, the same way as warforged and undead enemies.

Anyone can confirm me what exactly is happening here? Undead trait really does not give immunity to paralysis? What exactly are the benefits of undead traits after all?

Earthgrab is somewhat analogous to the "pinned" state in PNP

It is not a paralysis; it's a physical restraint and as such undead and WF are not immune.

The bug is that Warforged are wrongly immune to Earthgrab.

Earthgrab is not a paralysis effect, so being a zombie/vampire/lich shouldn't help. However Earthgrab is a physical effect, so the incorporeality from Wraith form could hypothetically protect you.

I am not sure if this is the official answer but I believe it is because the elemental earth grab is the ground physically grabbing you, its not in your mind. Whereas the zombie paralysis is based in a mind affect, not a physical affect.

I know that reasoning makes perfect sense to me.

You know A_D, I could swear earlier today I was somewhere on a WF and got hit with a hold/restraint of some sort (not hold monster, something else like Earthgrab) and thought "huh ... must not have noticed it before.

It wouldn't surprise me if in all the changes something got wonky.

There are a number of those that should affect WF ... Earthgrab, Freezing Ice, the Savant analogs, etc.

    Thanks guys.

Earth Grab not being a paralysis effect makes perfect sense, sure. I was just confused because I remember my warforged being immune. Probably a 'bug' with the warforged in this case. If my undead traits work against Hold Monster that would be good enough.
