Default Add Crystal/ Blueshine metal types for crafting.

Ooze bane is worthless on anything but living spells.

With crafting I propose two changes:

    1. Allow Everbright to be a prefix. This would allow people to craft Everbright of Ooze bane weapons.
    2. Allow people to buy and find crystal weapons. This would allow people to craft none worthless X of Ooze bane weapons.

    Old idea:

They could add Bronzewood, Riedran Crysteel and maybe Targath, all of them Eberron material things

um ok. I don't know what that means. I know we currently have blueshine and crystal as metal types in the game so instead of adding new things they could use what already exists. They could add them to the store (hopefully allowing it to be craftable) and then everyone kicks a goal.

Whynot just make Oozebane have half of the Everbright enhancement (Immune to rust/ooze but no blinding flash). Is there any situation where Oozebane is useful on a randomrolled melee weapon WITHOUT Everbright?

    Sidenote
    - Can everbright be taken off the ranged weapon tables, since oozes/rusties can't hurt ranged weapons *anyway* (and that blinding flash thing is 100% useless)?

I think it's important to remember the crafting is being rolled out over a period of time (i.e. beta). So there is still a good chance this stuff might show up.

That was my original suggestion here:

I said glass but whatever, just make it so oozebane is immune to ooze damage.

Why I am suggesting it as part of the crafting system. The old idea probably won't happen. The new idea at least improves the beta concept.

Blueshine is a magical effect, not a metal property (I'm looking at a blueshine adamantine chain shirt on the AH right now).

It would be nice if a randomly generated glass/crystal item existed that we could customize a bit. Oooze bane is pretty feeble when the weapon gets trashed in 2 hits.

Living Spells should eat Ooze Bane nicely and don't require Everbright.

I think if they allowed random Crystalline blunt weapons to drop in quests higher than either Durk's, that would be fair since pretty much anybody I've ever grouped with has had at least 1 Muckbane. If they didn't, I've been known to give them out, since my luck is good when running Durk's. And maybe above the level of The Pit they could start to drop random Crystalline slashing and piercing weapons. Just for the coolness factor, if nothing else. If they let me have a crystal khopesh that I could then add Ooze Bane etc on, I'd be much happier, even knowing some of them may split on me.

And maybe they could add Blueshine to the prefixes for weapons. Makes me wonder if you can make a blueshine shield of ooze bane. That'd be good for most everyone, right?

Ooze bane is fine on wraps. I guess that's where most people will use it at the moment.

Wraps or just making x of everbright. There are options in the game, but that does not take away from what I would like to see a way to make ooze bane worth it vs (non living spell) ooze.

The reason why ooze bane works so well on wraps is because wraps don't take damage from oozes anyways.

I made a repeater with ooze bane that works just fine. Long and short bows are good, and I'm fairly certain that throwing weapons take no damage from oozes either.

That's true, as was said earlier here:

Since named items are now being used in crafting, how about we gain the ability to use the two crystal weps ingame to build crystal weps?
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.
