    Default can Archon be dismissed?

The new enhancement Summon Archon is good. But in some situations we want to dismiss it because we don't want it to damage mobs. Can it be dismissed?

Although i don't know the answer to this, i do know that it will not attack mobs you havn't already aggro'd.

I don't think so. Also, it should only attack things you damage and won't attack hypnotized/fascinated targets. The aura of menace should self suppress when invisible or sneaking or at least be toggleable in a future update.

No reason to dismiss the archon. It doesn't shoot at stuff you haven't done damage to.

It also only shoots at stuff within the radius of the aura of menace...15 yards or so.

So don't summon them there.. You can't dismiss normal summons, and you expect this to be dismissable?

At 40-ish damage per shot, every 2 seconds, this really isn't a big concern.

It should also be noted that it has a 5 min timer, meaning it poofs after that and you need to re-summon it.

So I guess just time your summons well, or wait for it to poof before you need to do certain things.

But yes, as mentioned above the main thing to note is that it will only attack enemies you've damaged. Which means that you should be fine in certain quests where it would otherwise be a concern (i.e. Sleeping Dust Lie - just don't swing your weapon at the spiders!).

Actually, it appears that it will attack any monster that is damaged by anyone in the party. While running through ToD, I was seeing predator cannon shots at stuff I hadn't messed with at all.

But it was funny to be standing off the MT and plinking Horoth. The aura transference seemed to be effective as well, cause I was seeing purple numbers pretty regularly.

we found out the hard way today in epic von6 that it seems to have unruly behavior. it continued to kill the djinns while we were trying to prep all the bases (had an archon user on two different bases, neither fvs were attacking the djinns.)

    caused us to wipe.

edit: testing on training dummy confirms - the thing will attack anything that is attacked by anyone in the party.

I discovered today in epic Wizking that it can petulantly refuse to shoot at all.

If you start off with a room of skeletons and a mummy, if the skeletons take damage first and then get halt-undeaded, the archon will stop attacking them (because they are CC'd), but it won't switch over to the still active mummy.

Also when I was taking a shot at Warlock S'obrien in epic Claw, at one point the archon decided to start taking shots at one of the transformed scorpion drow, even though they aren't hostile. I had to move away so the scorpion was out of my aura range, and then the archon went back to the giant.
