It's a jerk move, but don't lump all new players together. There are noob vets and vet newbs if that makes any sense.

There's old players that don't give half a copper about your loot, and one wonders how they got to lv 20.

That'd be different from old players that have new packs and don't know their way to the quests, etc.
They will look noob but hopefully only for the first run.

I wasn't there, but I often have multiple gamers playing at once in the same house, and many times one has had a disconnect problem that is completely unseen by the other players until they actually grey out. Before then, all looks normal. Yah it sucks to be one who is disconnecting, but it can be hard to know, unless standard practice in the quests/raids is to have everyone sound out or type before opening. When it happens, the affected party often shouts upstairs about the condition so we all wait.

Some people just go AFK at the end for a couple of minutes (due to pent up pressures....), and come back to get their loot. Others are in a rush to complete and move on.

if you were DC'sd when the quest completed, you would not of gotten Loot anyway.

He would've gotten loot from the normal chests but NOT the raid loot chest.

Sorry OP, raid loot was lost already.

    Better luck next time bud.

The way i read it was that the raid was already over when he DCed. Prolly when everyone ran from the puzzle to the chests.

    Not cool

yes you would still get completion but not your loot

If you are NOT in the raid when it completes but come back in you'll get your completion but regardless of the raid chest being opened or not, there would be nothing in there for you.

Yeah, it happens. Sometimes it's a simple innocent mistake... the quest is done, people are no longer looking at health bars, they don't see that you disconnected. Sometimes they're trying to be a jerk.

There are other times where even I would have not waited after losing my patience. Like in a shroud run where one person disconnected frequently. We spent a total of 40 extra minutes in that raid waiting for this person. At one time we sat staring at chests for fifteen minutes while they were updating their drivers. More than an hour in what would have otherwise been a very smooth 25 minute run if not for this person. Never once did this person say "You know guys, I'm having issues... don't wait for me." Not even so much as a "Sorry, thanks for waiting".

I know this isn't what happened in your run... but you can see where sometimes people have moved beyond caring.

One of my guildies DCs all the time. And I don't know when he has unless i can see his character or until he is on his way logging back on.

Being a noob has nothing to do with being new to the game or not.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.
