    Default Interested in a wizard 18/rogue 2 build

    I was advised that a wizard 18/ rogue 2 build is amazing for soloing. I'd like to try such a build but I've never tried a wizard, can anyone give me a build?

    Since you didn't mention what build options you had available, here are two possibilities: a human Pale Master and WF Archmage. The WF will be more self-sufficient and better for soloing: self-heals almost right away, more HPs, WF immunities, etc. The human PM is for a F2Per who doesn't have access to WF. 32-pt versions would put the extra pts into CON.

    Note: Imp Recovery does not apply when you're in undead form; it's there for when you're in fleshie form and relying on regular healing. But if you're able to be entirely self-sufficient and remain in undead form at all times, it can be dropped.

    It's also possible to give this build more of a summoner focus by taking Augment Summoning instead of, say, Extend or Spell Pen, then adding the skeletal summon enhs. To be honest, I don't think they're worth the AP cost (as much as I would like for a good summoner to be viable in DDO ), though you could always start out with AS then swap it out later when summoning is no longer useful.

    I like having Diplomacy on my casters, but it can be swapped for another skill like Spot, Haggle, Balance - whatever you think needs boosting more. The +2 INT tome is nice for the extra skill pts and +1 DC, but it's not a requirement; if you don't have one, drop the extra skill pts from Haggle.

    I've tried to update my WF build for U9, but it probably needs more tweaking to enhs etc. I'm also not sure if Evocation is the best choice for WF AM; when the Repair & Force enhs were tied together, it seemed natural to focus on both, but now I'm mulling it over. Maybe go Enchantment instead for a more CC-focused caster? But it's enough to get one started. Skills are basically the same as the human PM, so I didn't bother showing them; I also got a bit lazy and put all the enhs at the end this time.

    I'm going with something like this for levelling, when I hit 20 I might change the Force Manipulation line for Acid or Electricity.
