i think part of problem might've been that Vista sometimes skipped directX9 or something, being all "new and shiny and 9 being old and dusty"

The problem is that he tell me that a file is missing and that I must reinstall DDO but I reinstall

that file belongs in directX, not DDO, DDO just uses it to display the pretty pictures and pixels.

My French is not that good at all. But like was suggested above install the latest directX first.

If this doesn't fix it, Try re-registering d3dx9_42.dll . (if your not for sure on this skip to next line)

Its possible the antivirus program is blocking it.

Another thing you might be restricted, do you use a user or administrator account or are you on a active domain?

You can try renaming d3dx9_42.dll like d3dx9_42.bak and reinstall. Some program just check if the file is there when installing. It doesn't check if the file is corrupted or not

Nobody on the servers? That shouldn't be a problem.

Are you asking because you don't see anyone around the shipwreck where you start? You're starting in a solo (one person) quest, run through it to come to Korthos Island where you should see lots of players running around.

Au début tu vas être sur une quete solo, donc personne en vue.
Ensuite tu seras Ã* Khortos avec quelques personnes.
Quand tu auras finis Khortos, tu auras accès Ã* une autre version de Khortos.
Tu peux quitter quand tu veux khortos, tu pourras y revenir plus tard si tu le souhaites pour aller Ã* Stormreach Harbor en parlant Ã* un pnj sur les quais.
