The problems are that:
- The fractional rewards just feel like adding more onto an already excessive grind
- The majority of raid tokens are being converted into dungeon tokens anyway, and we already have to accumulate those
- Adding a second set of fractional rewards that ultimately just parallel almost identically the same thing already in place doesn't do much to aid us, really. The fact that fractional raid tokens would probably also be acquired at a much slower rate than fractional dungeon tokens due to raid timers and the longer amount of time required to assemble 12 people for a quest than 6 just sours and already unpalatable serving.
Honestly, I kind of resent the whole idea of dungeon token fragments as end chest rewards in the first place. Either lower the token cost for slotting epic items, which is really excessive, or at least give us full tokens on all completions, with a token and a half or two tokens for those epic dungeons that are more challenging or much longer than others.
Looking at a newly minted epic item and realizing that you still need to run SIXTY more epics just to finish the thing off sucks. Realizing that if you're running the epics from which you still need ingredients you actually may more than double that number if those quests aren't dropping full tokens is supremely disheartening. Let's say you complete some epic armor with 2 slots, but are still working toward some item from the Red Fens. Last Stand drops about 27 token fragments, Claw somewhere in that range as well. That's two epic completions done and you're not even 1/60th closer to finishing your existing epic.
