Latest Store TP offer: USD=EUR?

Hi,

I´m living in Germany and during the last months I used to buy the 50USD TP packages with approx 6900TP. That equaled about35-37EUR.
Yesterday I bought the package again and thought I was a good deal: 6900points for 46.99. A nice easter feast offer.
Only then I saw that currency was to be paid in EUR. That´s a hell of an increase. From 35 up to 47EUR for the same amount of points!!! What kind of Inflation struck DDO? Ignoring currency exchange rates?
Can I somehow switch the shop back to USD?

Didnt they start charging that european tax on points thats like 25%?

Lithic is correct. They started adding VAT to all point buys a month or so ago. Flat rate of around 25% no matter where in the EU you live.

Don't get everyone started again Thom, we're not happy about it and they've had plenty of feedback explaining that fact yet nothing has changed. No absorption of the extra costs, no feedback other than "We're listening, thanks for the feedback".

We won't get anywhere and we don't expect to ever do so.

Also those it doesn't effect don't want to hear anymore from us either so it was dropped.

hi guys,
thank you for the feedback. Didn´t know about the newly charged VAT fact and that there was already a discussion some weeks ago.
I am really not happy since our tax over here for goods is mostly 16%.
So 25% sounds like getting a big extra chunk from euro players.
But it looks like we have to stick with it, that´s what I hear from your posts.
