    Default A son is born

My son was born early this past saturday morning (April 16th). He had a very rough delivery and has been in the NICU ever since. Every day I come home and pass out after being in the hospital with him all day. Lately I don't even have the heart to load the game let alone play.

I post this to any other parents out there who have had or are having this same experience. I feel your pain and hope that good news comes your way. Also to any parents expecting my hope is that you do not have to endure the same anguish.

I'm sorry to hear that the delivery was so rough. I'll be thinking about you and your family in hopes that things will get better soon.

    Default Kia Kaha mate

My thoughts to u and your family.

My wife and I are due our second child any day. I believe the love of a parent can overcome the most stressful of challenges.

Keep a dairy for yourself during these days - It will be an awesome tool for both u and your son to sort out later year conflict.

My son had a similar experience when he entered the world. Now he is almost 21! Good luck to your family. I hope everything turns out all right.

Most nurses that work NICU are some of the most compasionate and caring people that work in the medical field. Know that your son is in some of the best hands at that hospital. I wish you and your family the best.

right after i was a born i caught pneumonia. or something like that. it had something to do with my lungs and i guess they basically stuck me into an incubator of some sort for about a week. now im just fine and have no recollection of the incident. hopefully its of some comfort that when your son gets better, going through this wont phase him in the least.

congratulations on rolling up a level 0 human, and i hope everything turns out well for your family and your little one!

I thank you all for the kind words.

While my son is still in the NICU he is doing much better. We hope that he is out within a week.

I wish the diagnosis was something that would resolve, but in the end the important thing is he will eventually be out of the hosipital.

Now to work back towards getting back to normal life.

Just read this. You and child are in my prayers.

I can't explain to a parent that hasnt had concerns on this level the degree of emotion you are filled with. I have a son that was born with adhd, and he had several difficulties at birth, almost all have worked out ok.

I cant come anywhere close to imagining what you are all going through. But, I wish you unbridled strength, calm, and focus. And good health. Best wishes.

I'm always happy to read threads that are titled as you posted and was hoping to see new baby pictures.

I was actually saddened to read your actual message other then you showed your strength as a new Father (or mother) with your message to others.

You are going to make a great parent!

I wish the best for your son, mine had to deal with simular issues. He did not eat his first 3 years of life only suplements and formula. He is 7 now but had to say back in school due to is early life experiances. He made it though and makes me proud every day.

Prayers are with you and your family.

BTW - I still want pics!!! you had a good meesage to other parents now show off your son!
