Keeping the thread alive!
I received two tells from people in-game as to how many buff shrines we had on our airship as a way of them gauging how good our guild is!
Needless to say, I thanked them for the inquiry, and told them they are not our kind of guild prospect!
Which both people took offense to! "you don't even know me, or how good of a player I am" was the exact quote from one of them.
The members of Chainmail do NOT rely, depend, or focus on our airship as a Litmus test/scale of how "good" we are!
WE, are about trying to have fun & forming friendships that enhance our gaming experience.
This point is extremely important in our rebuilding process, because every member came from other guilds & were "unhappy" with not being "in the loop" or wound up feeling like an outsider.
Chainmail's attitude is about the members, Not about airship shrines, how uber you are, or anything along those lines.
In the year I was away from Chainmail, I had the honor to be a member of 3 of the top guilds on Thelanis. It was my experiences with these guilds that helped validate how important it is for a guild to be a cohesive unit, and help each other. And yes I've learned the hard way (lots of bumps on my head) about overbearing personalities being in a leadership position, OR having "officers" that tend to alienate themselves from the regular members. You can bank on this, Chainmail will not have these issues, or dependency on any amenity from an airship.
Such is the foundation of the "new" Chainmail.
If you are looking for a guild, and are concerned about an airship as the proving ground for your choice. count us out.
Our guild operates as equals, it is the members that make a guild what it is, NOT an airship!
Contact ANY member in-game if interested.
Excellent attitude.
The guild is about the people, NOT about the "What can I get for free?"
Kudos.

I'm having trouble recruiting for my guild, one of those problems is that the ship is level 22 and is only good for transport really.
Over time you will meet people who you run really well with and have a great time and I think if you build your guild that way it would be much better than advertising in the game.
My demands are simple. Ducks, penguins and tortoises as pets. I'll buy hats and bow-ties for them all.

I can recall running with CHAINMAIL when I first came to Thelanis from Argonnessen. Good people then, and certainly good people now – It was the positive memory I had of them back then, that made it very easy to pursue them for membership now, over 3 years later.
I think it would be a very difficult task to find a friendlier and more supporting group on the server. Sure, there are bigger guilds with all the buffs in a leviathan or an airship, but when it really comes down to it, it’s the people that really matter- not the fancy frills that others use to attract players; the personality behind the character is what its all about.
If you are interested in learning more about us, look for us in game – there is almost always someone online. If you see Ganus (me) shoot me a tel, I’ll be happy to chat with you.
Hi
How many active players do you have?
And are you mostly from US or EU?
Regards
We have approximately 16 active accounts at the moment, and are looking to add a few more. The goal is to have a solid base of competent players.
From the best of my knowledge most of the players are US based. I can tell you though, there is almost always someone on at any given time. We are rebuilding, and doing well. Look us up some time in-game – any one of us would be happy to talk with you more.
Will look you guys up next time I am on.

Cannith: Fairrow

A few things happening since the last update on CHAINMAIL. The first is that we’ve recently achieved Guild Level 32, and are moving along that path quite nicely; we should reach 33 very shortly. We’ve had a number of people express interest in CHAINMAIL, which is fantastic – We’re always looking for competent players to fill our ranks and become part of the family.
As mentioned previously (and quoted below), if you are interested running with us so we can “check each other out” to make sure it is a good fit, feel free to contact any member in-game. The officers have been listed below.
I'm interested in joining this guild.
I was planning on rolling up a new charector on a server and this sounds like a friendly guild I can chat with and run with.
Juat wait untill I can make one on the server when they start working again.

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder which eye is that?
I demand you nerf this post. I was the first person to enter the chronoscope quest on cannith. And died in 10 mins when the whole party finally got in. Profesional Necrobumper.
I have been joining and leaving guilds like mad trying to find the one true guild. I feel bad every time I leave a new guild, but I am more about trying to build a community of players to run quest and things with. The last few guilds I have been in are all low level players and they are never on, ***!
Think the newblood ran with chainmail dude last friday! they were lovely and offered us some raiding buddies though tbh my guildies seem to barely ever come out the ww... they started to tr now which means the leveling will be even more painfully slow
I should not bump your recuritment thread because we are trying to recuit ourselves but i just wanted to shout out that these dudes seem nice
I've finally come on with a charecter, he's called Theurgeguy

Thanks to Phoeniex and Ganus, who graciously agreed to quest with my sorcerer (Gregorovic) and then invited me to join the guild.
Look forward to seeing them and other members on quests soon!
All on Thelanis: Archenpaul Sixblade (Epic Triple Completionist), Archernicus Thornwood, Crestellin Moonwood, Gregorovic Redcloak, Jaklomeo Evermug, Jarladdin Nalfesne, Jonathraxius Kane, and Praetoreus Silvershield (Heroic Triple Completionist, Epic Triple Completionist.)
Leader of Guinness Knights (Level 165), which is (since June 2021) a two-man, father-son guild.
Cogito ergo summopere periculosus.
Quick update on the status of CHAINMAIL – Thanks to Phoeniex and Opiume, we’re happy welcome a couple new members to our ranks of active and competent players.
We’re still looking for a few more competent players to fill the ranks. You don’t need to be the most experienced at DDO, but you should have a solid understanding of PnP D&D, and have a passion for having fun. Previous MMO experience helpful but not required. Like always, if you are interested in more information about membership, please contact an officer in-game. See list below:
