    Default scroll scribing

    Is there somewhere that explains what scoll scribing materials are used for scribing. I am a level 11 and I was tring to scribe a scroll that said Caster level 11 minimum level 9 and I found out I need level 4 scribing materials. Is this writin somewhere where I can learn this stuff'

    Spell levels go from 1 to 9. Wizard scrolls always follow the pattern that caster level = spell level * 2 - 1. For most scrolls, you can also look in the corner to see a Roman numeral (I, II, etc.) that denotes the spell level. Power Words Stun and Kill are the only exception I know to this, they just don't have numerals on them.

    so then how does a level 9 scroll need level 4 scribing materials???

    My guess would be that you also had level 6 inscription materials somewhere in your inventory, because caster level 11 scrolls would be level 6 spells. Do you remember which spell was on the scroll?
