    Default Permadeath Suggestion

I suggest a bind on account purchasable large/huge collectible bag. Plat or DDO points.
Lots of permadeath players treat characters as independent entities, trading nothing with other characters. Some active PD guilds even use that as a rule. Sadly, this limits the amount of collectibles they can hold. Because we reroll characters upon death, bind to character bags are not a good option. We would like a large/huge collectible bag that we can buy (plat or DDO points) that can be heirloomed to a reroll. This would allow players who like to collect an opportunity to do so within the spirit of independent gearing.

Wouldn't being able to pass along the 90 sweet white caps (and hence 30 CLW potions) to your next incarnation go agains your PD rules?

And anyway unbound collectable bags already exist. You get them from chest drops, or from the 150 planar shard turn in. Just get one with your other non-PD characters and pass them along.

I think he is looking more for the convinience of the bag then handing around its contents. Permadeath should be a challeng because of gameplay, not because youre inventory is a nightmare.

/not signed - there is too much for the devs to work with atm as it is.

Assuming you have access to the shared bank then why not just use that as a temporary storage for items like collectable bags? I know people say it is against PD rules etc. But it is NOT handing down something that will give you any benefit while leveling up so I see nothing wrong with it.

Maybe I'm missing something due to not playing the PD way, but wouldn't a PD character be turning in everything they could anyway? How many different collectables does a PD character usually end up with at the end of a quest? Isnt part of the challenge that you can't carry everything with you, and must make inventory choices?

In any case, the unbound bags already in game should take care of the convenience factor. I still don't see why we'd need BTA large bags when there are already unbound large bags that are easy enough to aquire.

Not to pass on collectibles but pass on the capability to collect.

    Non-PD characters...surely you jest.

Are you suggesting the DDO store only sell things not otherwise available in-game? That seems contrary to what most DDO players want. Lots of things in the DDO store are otherwise easily available in-game.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but it's free (sort of) to get unbound large bags (collectible, ingredient, gem) in game. You need 150 planar shards from the Subterrane, which is the raid explorer zone in the Vale of Twilight adventure pack, but I believe every account should have this pack at some point.

The only thing that keeps me from buying more bags from the store is that they are BTC. I prefer to keep all my collectibles and ingredients on my current main toon, which changes from time to time. It's not worth the $ to buy a huge bag for each toon that I have so I just don't bother. I just use 2 large bags instead of one huge one on my current toons. It's not pretty but it works. If the store bags were BtA I'd buy a few of them at least and transfer them to whichever toon I'm currently playing the most.

In permadeath, it could be another year or two (real time) before we get there. Might not ever see it.

I never understood the change anyway. When Turb launched them, the store purchased bags were bind to account. Another option is to just make them cheap. 50 turb points or so.
