So many people keep telling me that seeker 10 has been broken for a very long time and other people tell it's not broken. Is there any offical information on this subject?

Definitely not broken. People may not understand how it works.
what exactly are they saying is Broken about it?
Seeker items dont stack (Even the ones that currently say they do... Liek the CC Trinket) so only highest applies.
What is this based off of? I've heard that seeker 10 on the chain does work but only as a seeker 6. The increase you're suppose to get from the epic version is what's broken.
Where are u getting this info that seeker 10 doesn't work from? Within Helper's guild? Just highly curious I did get my second mari scroll from an extremely agreeable helpers guy.
Don't count on getting dev confirmation that something isn't broken.
If you find a bug in the Known Issues list, that's dev confirmation that they know it is broken.
If you do not find a bug in the Known Issues list, that's dev confirmation that it's not broken that they know of.
"that they know of" is VERY important and includes a large number of bugs that we have bug reported, but those reports haven't always made their way to the proper eyes.
I believe Seeker 10 works as well as any other seeker 2-8. DPS-wise every crit folds in the seeker value under the multiplier to your damage.
The only thing I've heard is the NEED for seeker at end game will be slightly devalued after the next update given helpless mobs are no longer auto-crit.
As in if you are out of slots and you're selecting between strength brackets, sneak attack, tod sets, chrono set, or claw set bonuses or high seeker... seeker is lower on the priority chart now. Items that contribute to damage on every swing are higher.

It's not broken.
Whoever's been telling you that is either a very bad liar or doesn't understand how Seeker works.
I normally dual wield my Mineral I throwing axe with Bereavement, which has a Seeker +10 on it. I fought a rat in the Vale explorer area just now. On critical hits without Bereavement, I deal around 58 damage. On critical hits with Bereavement, I deal around 113 damage. I don't change any other gear on my character and I don't activate any abilities. That's proof enough that it works for me.
You may be confused with the trinket that came out during the pirate event, which had a semi-broken Exceptional Seeker +2 effect on it. I don't know if that one is fixed or not in U9. I haven't read any news about it.
seeker 2,4,6,8 and 10 have always been fully functional and work as intended. I don't recall any period they ever not worked. Whoever told ya otherwise isn't very well informed and did not test it.
Only bug i can remember is one time the epic bloodstone was mistakenly nerfed to seeker 7 - which still worked.. and that was fixed promptly.
And even if you dont trust me or anyone else who replied:
You dont need a dev response on something you can very easily test yourself either.
Go get a shuriken. Attack a bit, get some crits, record dmg with and without the seerker, as well as the +hit modifiers. Do a bit of basic math and youll have an answer in under 30min.
Related effect that is bugged and likely what caused the confusion:
Exceptional Seeker +2 (bold trinkets)
Provides +2 to hit, but not +2 dmg.
This is fixed in U9 (devpost confirmed and tested)
Moreso depends on if you analyze most things as to how they affect Epic play...
Currently in epics... the casters hold/stone... the melees beat down helpless mobs.
You get seeker +X in your damage every hit.
In the future, though mirage's and rapiers and such will get seeker in many of their to-hit rolls, it will be less than half. Though you'll get 1.5 damage in the same helpless epic scenario - though the helpless epic scenario will occur slightly less due to epic mob increased saves by 4 and possible sorc respecing due to the saves (but the 2nd point is just conjecture). Also... why should I hold trash for you when I can instadeath it (though with a long cooldown).

I should have provided more information in my question in the first post but it was directed toward the epic marilith chain. It wasn't that seeker 10 in general was broken, which my first post leads you to believe, but if the seeker 10 of the epic chain was broken. Since it is rather hard to test myself without personally owning one if there's anyone here that does own one could verify it for me I'd be more than happy with that.
A couple of screen shots would be awesome.
Thanks
