So 1-50 levels selection.
lvl1-10.. Allows group mode or raid mode. (so 2x 6 man groups = 12 players minimum)
lvl11+
24 players minimum required. (2 raid groups) Up to 48 allowed, (4 raid groups)
Winner is the group that completes the challenge the fastest.
Huge open area, with lots of traps that cant be disable like the runes in subterrane. Hell just use the subterrane bottom its a good design. But give no way out, eg you start there, so Ddoor doesnt let you escape.
lvl1 would be for lvl1 max. So a cool way for ppl who have never played ddo, or just want to test a new character out do so. Rewards would be great for lvl1s, some twink stuff like Maelstroms, and +1 tomes.
Win or lose, everyone who particpated gets a standard 3 day raid timer.
Winners get better.. Chest spawned in there instance with chance at raid quality stuff.
Then end reward for both winners and losers (well only if the losers actaully completed and didnt whipe) with gaurenteed interesting prize, but nothign too powerful. Like a +2 supreme ability potion, or xp pot, or or stack of 5 titan cookeis or stack of 5 mana pots.
lvl4 could be balanced for veteran toons. lvl4 max.
and so on. up to lvl20. lvl20 being desisgned for very casual players at lvl20.
Rewards would be chance at +2 tomes, large ingredients, and very low chance at +3 tomes.
lvl21-25, more challenging oponents, tho still with casual ungeared players in mind.
lvl26-30, designe for your average lvl20. Might have some decent weapons, a tier2 greensteely maybe. But nothing t3, or epic.
Rewards +2 tomes high chance, moderate chance at +3
lvl31-35, designed for elite lvl20s. Full T3 greensteel setups. Yugo pots, and maybe 1 epic item.
Rewards: moderate chances at +3 tomes, chance at some epic red crystlas, and some of the rarer epic scrolls. Very small chance at +4 tomes, (0.01% or less)
lvl36-39
True epic mode.
Cannot be played until you beat it on lvl35. (tho only party leader needs it unlocked as usual)
Later waves now comprise multiple epic bosses, well beyond the challenge of ToD elite. Full Epic DA bosses + Living spells to start like thoon presented us. Later addding epic araetrikos and others.
Rewards: Highest chance at +4 tomes in the game. Say just very slightly higher chance then doing elite tod with sulo. Good chance at various epic shards/scrolls. Seals still need to be got thru regular griding.
As lower lvls, you still only get rewarded if you complete faster then the other group.
lvl40:.
Nightmare mode.
Designed to be absolutely impossible to win. And for bragging rights only.
You don't need a competing raid party to start, 12 players minium is all.. The challenge is actaully winning, not winning faster then ther other team. Win or fail tho, its a 3 day timer.
Traps are all 1 hit kills. and randomly change position every 10min, you do get a clicking sound as they spawn in tho, to give you a 1 second warning to get out of the way.
Triple death penalty imposed. (3x dolur per 1 death)
Initial spawn:
Elite Horoth, Elite Sullomades, all 3 epic DA bosses. Constant elite meteor swarm respawns in packs of 10 every 5 minutes, in random positions.
When horoth hits 50%, epic Damaze the windago spawns, giving everyone massive DR. If you drag him away from horoth, he leesh back to him and resets to full hp.
After 15mins, A pack of 15 Wrath of Xyzzy spawn in, along with more boss waves, no matter if you've finished the previous waves or not.
End Boss is a special nightmare version of abbot. 400K hp, deals double spell damage. Doesn't use disjunction or phase wraths, so he uses inferno and encasesment more often (and a speical infero that engulfs the entire area, no escape except maybe building up an encasement bridge to the sky heh). Epic Brimikites spawn in waves of 5 around him initially, then every 5min mins - kill those, and they drop boulders to help you with encasesments.
lvl41-50 are the same as his one, but even harder. You can only unlock lvl41, if you beat 40. (then 42,43, and so on) Not tested to be winnable. Designed for crazy people only. No additional rewards beyond what 40 gives, just more scaled up insanity.
Beating lvl50 would send out a global announcement tho, noting how nuts you are to win or lose. (like old reaver, globals for win or fail)
